Cottage of the Week Home Tour: Finding Home

Welcome Friends!  It’s Sunday at The Cottage Market so that must mean that it is time for this weeks Cottage of the Week Home Tour.  You know the part of the day that you stop for a moment…enjoy a cup of something yummy and enjoy a beautiful home with tons of personality and style.  I can tell you that you are going to love our feature today Starring…
finding HOME
First things first!  I would love for you to meet Laura and her wonderful Family!  Had to use this fabulous photo…and you know that I always choose pics with pups…Bailey Rose says hi!
Finding Home is a blog that follows the journey of this loving families life.  When you visit you will experience warmth… heart… the feeling of faith…and love.   Laura wanted to share this with everyone and it will give you a deeper insight to who she is and how she makes her house a home
…
“I believe a home should reflect who lives in it, that it should be filled with things you love and that tell a story – your story.  I don’t think a decorating style needs to be “defined”, I believe it should just be where you and your family feel comfortable and yourselves.  I fill my home with a quirky mix of traditional and vintage items and, if you ask, I will probably have a story behind each and every one of them!“
Without further ado…let’s grab our cup of yummy brew and enter this fabulous home.

We start at the entry way which is welcoming…open…and filled with light… you can already feel the love.

The attention to detail is amazing.

The Living room is no short of fabulous…

The built it bookshelves are not only gorgeous and give easy access to the families books…

they are the perfect canvas for whimsical vignettes that are filled with vintage finds and pieces of the heart.

There are so many stories…memories and love layered on these shelves.

Who knew a simple bowl of vintage bingo balls could have so much charm…I adore it.

How inviting this beautiful Living Room is…there is much more to see…so don’t forget to drop by for a visit!

Let’s move into the Dining Room now (you have to visit to see The evolution of this gorgeous space)
Laura says she has a story about almost everything in her home…I would love to hear about her adventures of finding the fabulous vintage trays and oh if that vintage tool box on the table could talk!

They eye just dances around this room…looking at all of the wonder…

details…details…details and such gorgeous vintage treasures.

Time to chill in the Family Room…talk about comfy cozy…

a great place for the whole family to gather …

every where you look you will find such fascinating vignettes with such vintage charm…

and Laura is a woman after my own heart…look…she is a drawer upcycler : ) I have not yet seen drawers used as the center piece of a coffee table to date and I don’t know why because they look incredible and they hold enchanting tales I am sure!

This room just makes you want to say ahhhhhh…I’m home.

Now for my favorite room of everyone’s home…the Kitchen!

A gorgeous dining space with farmhouse vintage charm.

What a spectacular idea for a center piece…a vintage crate with a collection of plants…and the crowning glory…a weathered watering can… be still my heart!  Traditional style but always added whimsical twists!

I do believe some fabulous feasts come from this spot of the home…

the island is not only a great place for storage and preparing…but a great additional eating space and gathering zone…you don’t have to be lonely while you are cooking : )  Oh I would be remiss if I didn’t say how much I love the family fridge.

Farmhouse charm is everyone…the sink…the vignettes and oh those blue mason jars and…

vintage scales and treasures.

Drop by to see what else is cooking here!

Now the laundry/mud room is picture perfect…I wouldn’t mind doing laundry surrounded with vintage beauty like this.

Everything is perfectly placed…

a place for everything and everything in its place.

For a POP of color…you must see Sunshine’s Room…it is a happy place!

What young lady wouldn’t adore this space…an exciting note…Laura will be sharing some of the projects very soon…here’s a teaser.

When entering the Guest Bedroom…I feel like I am entering the most charming and quaint Bed & Breakfast…

oh the dreamy wallpapered walls and gorgeous rug just tie everything together with a big red bow : )

Vintage charm and old world whimsy awaits you in every corner.

Imagination…fabulous finds…vintage art and so much more adorn the room.  This is such an inspirational wall!

The perfect place to have sweet dreams.

The Master Bedroom is gorgeous…

and it has its own oasis!

a little piece of heaven…

and oh the details…you must visit to see everything…you will fall hopelessly in love : )

The screened in porch is fabulous and fresh!  A vintage color wheel of fun!

Then after you chill for awhile…

you can go have a dip in the pool!!!

Now weren’t they the perfect hostesses with the mostess!!! Didn’t you totally enjoy this tour?  Believe it or not…there is just so much more to see in this home…more vintage vignettes…more inspirational ideas…more upcycled creations…more decorating tips…diy projects… life happenings…holiday projects and inspiration
and if you are a mantle lover…

look no further…a Year of Mantles!

There are tons of vintage lovers out there and you all must check out how Laura makes new ornaments look like vintage beauties!

Laura also has a brilliant new wreath for the Fall Season and I know you are going to want to get the DIY!
