Cottage of the Week: StoneGable

It’s Sunday…so of course it is time for  The Cottage of the Week… starring:  StoneGable Grab a cup of something yummy, sit back and enjoy a little tour of this amazing home.  Prepare to be inspired!
Before we knock on the door, let me tell you a little bit about
the lady of the house Yvonne.  She is a loving wife and mother of 2 20 something children.  She and her husband, Bobby are enjoying their life as empty nesters.  Yvonne is a woman of faith and also an inspirational speaker.
Yvonne has so many talents I can’t begin to tell you them all.  You will see the strokes of her artistic decorating brush throughout the entire StoneGable Homestead.  She shares ideas for tablescapes, recipes, home and garden & entertaining ideas, tutorials, tips and tidbits and much more.  So let’s knock on the door…I think she is expecting us…
The front porch is simply gorgeous and oh so welcoming…the perfect place to sit and enjoy a chat.
Yvonne’s attention to detail is everywhere the eye can see.  Making people feel welcomed and special is another one of her talents.
Let’s share a cup of coffee in the kitchen.  Truth be told this fabulous coffee bar is what caught my eye in the blogosphere and it is what drew me in and now I am hooked…on her blog that is : )
Coffee is a very important staple here at StoneGable and this coffee bar sure shows how much a good cup of joe means to them.
I so understand : )
The place to meet and chat in the kitchen is at the island.  A perfect place to enjoy family and friends.

Don’t you just love this Galvanized Tin Vignette in the
Summer Kitchen.

This space is so filled with personality…don’t you just love the stove area.  Did you meet Earl…the charming faux pig…he is the guardian of the kitchen.
By the way this Roasted Tomato Mini Pie
is just one of the many delicious creations that come from this new
oven!  Needless to say this lady is one heck of a cook and she shares many of her favorite recipes!
Oh and then there is this incredible pantry!
Oh those creative touches!  They just add to her Farmhouse/traditional/casual/elegant style…that’s a direct description from Yvonne : )
Let’s step into the Breakfast/Lunch room and as you can see
a beautiful vignette adorns the table.
The perfect place to enjoy a meal.
Now for those larger gatherings…dinner is served in the
Dining Room and what a magnificent place this is!
I simply adore the brocade bench and the shaded chandy and…everything!
Besides wonderful food being served at the dining room table…Yvonne creates the most incredible tablescapes you have ever seen…like this Blue and White Summertime Ensemble.  I love what she teaches us in this lovely post…I was going to paraphrase it…but instead I want to use her exact words and I can see you all shaking your head in agreement!
“Just a little soapbox note… I enjoy lovely things. And I am blessed to have lovely things. But I also love a bargain!  Beautiful things don’t have to be expensive, and in my case often aren’t. I mix the treasures that were passed down to me with things that cost very little. Style shouldn’t equate to dollars. How we elevate, share and hold loosely onto the things we have in our own individual ways~ now that’s true style!
And things don’t equate to happiness! My mantra is and always has been “people are more important than things”. I love home and have a passion for making my home a sanctuary for my family and all who visit. It is the  people that fill my life that give it meaning and joy! And so, I am blessed beyond measure!  But you all knew that, didn’t you!
I’ll step down off of my soapbox and back away from the megaphone~ thanks for giving me a minute~ and now back to the table..”
If you can’t get enough of these beautiful tablescapes…you have to take a tour of all of Yvonne’s works of art….there are many and you are going to adore them all!  Inspiration GALORE!
Here’s a birdseye view of this elegant room…you must go and check out all of the details.
A visit to the Family Room is comfy cozy!
Dropping by the Living Room is an experience.  First let me share my most favorite piece of furniture at Stone Gable and I am also taken by the Paris piece of art created by one of Yvonne’s favorite artists… David Kessler.
Then there are these sensational chairs.
The entire Living Room is a creation of love and elegance…there is so much more to see.
You must take the tour of the Guest Bedroom which is named the
J and J room (you have to click over to get the story that simply touched my heart)
You just might get served breakfast in bed : )
Time to step outside…I think I could even plant something that might grow if I had this potting bench.
Enjoying a cup of the coffee of the day on the side porch is a real treat.
Or how about some fresh lettuce from the garden.
It is a beauty!
Now a great way to find out what is happening at
StoneGable
is to follow Yvonne on:

Something is always going on here and you don’t want to miss a thing.
One thing for sure is, you are going to want to have a long visit here at StoneGable and I know you will be knocking at the door often to enjoy the amazing wealth of insight Yvonne has.  I can’t begin to tell you how much there is to see…learn and experience here.  You will find out exactly what I mean though…trust me you will!
I want to thank Yvonne and Bobby for there gracious hospitality. You were hostesses with the mostess!
Ooooops…I almost forgot…when you go visit again…make sure to bring a treat for this precious little pup named Scamp!!!
Hugs from us all…our visit was PAWFECT!!!!!

    Beautiful home and beautiful sentiments.

My neighbor is having a yard sale right now and I debated on buying her potting bench. I am going there right now to buy it after seeing Yvonne’s potting bench.
