These DIY Dollar Store Christmas Ornaments with Free Printables are Magical. Come and join Harry Potter and Friends, Spiderman and Friends, The Star Wars Gang and the Pretty Princesses!
Time to make some DIY Dollar Store Christmas Ornaments With Free Printables. If you have a Super Hero… Harry Potter… Star Wars… Princess loving special person or persons in you life… these are going to be a hit! You won’t believe how simple these are to make. You could decorate an entire tree with these cuties! We also give you the printables to work with… yep… FREE Printables and lots of them. Come on in and I will show you how to make the whimsical ornaments.
Let’s start with the Supplies… You can pick up some Mod Podge at the Dollar Store along with these tiny beads… they come in red, silver, green and gold… all you have to do is snip off the jingle bells… my Dollar Tree was loaded with them and I am sure you will be able to find them. Then you need some ribbon 3 inch round wooden discs that you can pick up in any of your Craft Stores or you could use cardboard if you would like… then you need a glue gun… sand paper… paint and your print outs on card stock.
Time to cut out your characters (we have over 30 of them below) you don’t have to be exact because we made them ever so slightly larger so you can sand them to perfection.
Paint the back side of the disc or you could even use scrapbook paper!
Now brush your Mod Podge on the wood side…
now attach the image and allow it to dry …
simply take your sand paper and sand the edges all the way around so the little bit of excess is gone. You will be let with a nice smooth edge.
Time to attach the beads. Measure the amount you need and then put a small dollop of hot glue at your starting part and make sure it is attached and then slowly work your way around… running a tiny amount and applying the bead… repeat… repeat… repeat until you come to the end. This requires a little bit of patience but it works like a charm. For those of you that are afraid of being burned… try a lower temp glue gun.
Now that you have it surrounded by the beads…
now measure your ribbon to the size you want your hanger… glue the two ends together and trim.
Apply a little bit of glue to the back and glue the ribbon on securely.
There you have it… all done!
Make them by the dozens! If you want to make them larger… enlarge the prints… or you might want to make mini ones!
Little Princesses will make everyone smile!
Spiderman an friends would love to be hanging around on your tree.
Harry Potter and Friends will make your tree MAGICAL!!!

We used these for our tree this year, except the princesses cos I only have boys, my kids loved making them into ornaments using your post pictures as inspiration. And we have them for next year too
