It’s time for another Fun Farmhouse Quick and Easy Craft and today we are sharing DIY Rae Dunn Inspired Christmas Ornaments that I really think you are going to enjoy! People just can’t seem to get enough of Rae Dunn creations… but as you know they can get pretty pricey! So… we made these DIY Christmas Ornaments very budget friendly and the supplies are a cinch to find! The best news is we give you 28 Free Printable words created in a Rae Dunn Inspired Font… (Mason Jars have 2 size lids and we made them in both sizes) … that makes things nice and easy for you. No come on in and check out the short list of supplies and the quick and easy DIY!
The Supplies you will need are: Mason Jar Screw Lids… center and ring … Paints of Choice… Paint Brushes… a Scissor… Ribbon of your Choice… Glue Gun… Print Outs on Card Stock… and embellishments… that’s it!
First things first… Paint the outside rim and the inside of the rim. I used my trusty little blow dryer to make things happen quickly. You most probably will have to give it a second coat. Allow to totally dry!
Use a paint brush with a point so you can guide yourself easier and paint the checks on. Take your time and once again… let everything dry and then use a second coat on the white. After you finish if they are a little uneven… just use a bit of black paint to even them out… it will be fine… trust me! Or of course you can just paint the rims with the color of your choice… or how about adding polka dots… they are simple… just dip a skewer in white paint and press down. Practice before you do it on your actually piece to get the hang of it. Just don’t rush… take your time! Let your creativity come shine! I just liked the black and white look… plus I am really feeling the whole Black and White Buffalo Plaid thing right now!
Now your rim is ready…
Cut out the words of choice… we have given you a black circle line… just cut around it. The best thing is is that it does not have to be perfect! Once you drop it in the rim and will look spot on!
Now glue the word rounds to the flat lid. You only need a few little drops of hot glue… it doesn’t take much.
Now place like three little dots of hot glue on the outer edge of the circle and quickly flip into the lid and press! If you would like… you can cut another circle and glue it to the back to cover the lid. you could use plain white or if you like… some coordinating scrapbook paper… whatever you would like or leave it as is because in most incidence the back will not be seen.
Time to get your Ribbon prepared. I cut mine 8 inches in length… then folded it over and glued it together.
Then placed some hot glue in a little line and glued the loop to the inside of the back like this.
This is your choice… time to make a bow… will it be single or double or it could even be triple! I chose to go single with the small Mason Jar Rings and double with the larger ones. Cut yourself enough ribbon so you get a nice bow with tails. Then of course trip them on a diagonal. Once you have them made glue on the embellishment of your choice… maybe a jingle bell… a flower… a snowflake… a pearl…whatever your heart desires… there are no rights or wrongs. I went very simple with some red holly berries and a touch of white berries.
Then Simply glued the bow onto the ribbon and lid. I put a little dot of glue on either side of the bow and created a little loop… but once again… that is totally up to you! Guess what? They are DONE!!!
Mason Jar Lids come in 2 sizes and we have the templates for both!
They are ready to hang!

Thank you so much!!!! It’s nice that I don’t have to use a cutting machine to do this. I don’t have one. So i’m always trying to figure out how to do some of the things I see.
