This Quick and Easy Dollar Store DIY How to Make Hobnail Milk Glass Hack is yet another entry into our Quick and Easy Farmhouse Dollar Store Hack Series!
I know I say it almost every week… but I have to say it again… this could be the easiest DIY ever! You will be done in a snap for sure. Warning… when you buy the glass container… be sure to buy more than one or you are going to be sorry! Let’s start making this little cutie… Hobnail Milk Glass and Farmhouse are a match made in Heaven!
As always we are going to start with the supplies. All you are going to need is a good quality white spray paint… small glass votive candles from the Dollar Tree (a 2 pack for $1) …Ribbon of your choice,,, a scissors and a glue gun.
Wash the glass well and removed the sticker from the bottom. Dry it to perfection and then spray. I like to give 2 light coasts and if a third one is needed… give it to it. You want a nice solid white.
Allow it to dry
Time to add a band and bow… only if you want to. I like a double ribbon bow but of course you can make any kind you would like. Attach with a little dab of glue. Change up the ribbon … celebrate the Seasons or just your style!
Now simply slip the votive candle into the glass.
Let the light burn brightly!
You can also add fresh or faux flowers… succulents and the choices go on and on and on! A great little piece that will add a smile to your decor.

When I started reading your post, all I could think was that there is so much milkglass at our Goodwill, why would anyone make it, but I have to say, your final product is very cute…nice job.
What is it about Dollar Tree hacks that make me so happy? Taking something cheap and making it chic is just so satisfying, right?! Thanks for yet another great DT idea. Can’t wait to go see if I can find some of those cute little votives! As usual, I’ll probably have to check least two or three locations to find them, but it’ll be worth it! Of course, as much as I love the votive makeover, I’m also eyeing the pretty rustic wood medallion it’s sitting on and that gorgeous beaded garland! Hope there are some DIY’s for those, too!
