Welcome everyone to the ALL NEW Down The Rabbit Hole What’s Trending Now! I would also like to welcome all our new Reader Friends! There is something for everyone here! When I was little… my Dad use to go to the Bakery every Sunday Morning after Church. He would get his favorite Coffee Cake and of course treats for my Mom and I. When he came home he would sit at the table (the middle seat not the head) there was more room to spread out there and that is what he did… he had his open newspaper… his coffee cake and of course his coffee. He would literally spend hours there with his favorite newspapers. Well that is what I want the new Down The Rabbit Hole be to you… I would love to see you with your favorite breakfast and your delicious brew just enjoy where this page will lead you. From what is happening in the craft and art world to what’s new in Tv and Movies and everything in between! I really want to know what you want to see here so PLEASE leave comments so I know how to make you all happy!!! This is a work in progress!

CRAFTS

One of the hot crafts of 2024 is Candle Making! What a great craft it is! Fabulous for decorating the home, filling the air with a delightful aroma, making gifts for others and not to mention, a great business. There is so much info out there for you but let’s start with Life-N-Reflection. She shares a lot of helpful information to get you started and has a ton of DIY’S waiting for you on the blog! Here’s another place to explore some candle making ideas.

The Girls over at A Beautiful Mess also have some great input on Candle Making! Be sure to check it out! They explore basics and ways to choose containers and so much more!

Another trending craft this year is Candle Painting. They are so beautiful and you could let that inner artist out with all kinds of colors and designs. You don’t even have to make your own candles. Paint Pillar Style or Taper Style. Ella Claire will help you begin! So pretty!

Creating with Resin in man y different ways is a very trendy craft this year for sure! There are many DIY’s out there but I found this on Homedit and it is extremely useful. It takes you though all the things you need and need to know to create with resin. I also have to say the cutting board is amazing! Come and see if this is something you would like to try!

WHAT’S COOKING

This week I am shining a spotlight on The First Mess which is a delightful blog filled with Vegetarian Recipes that are non nonsense… straightforward and so delicious! From Salads to Lentils to Eggplant and beyond, there is something for everyone! You will feel hungry yet healthier just by looking at this space!

I will be making this this weekend for sure! I do believe I will do a sandwich with a delicious slaw… maybe you want to give it try!

Let’s start with July 3rd with Despicable Me 4 in the Theaters!!!… the kids are out of school and you know that this is on their list!

My Spy The Eternal City will be streaming on Prime. It’s a family adventure movie and a sequel. Check it out! I am putting it on my list. A little mystery/comedy is a good thing! It starts on July 18th!

That 90’s Show is back for Season 2! If you loved Eric and Donna from that 70’s Show… come and watch their kid and her new gang of friends! A blast from the past.

The Good Half makes its theatre debut on July 23rd. It got rave reviews at Tribeca last year and is suppose to a wonderful movie staring Nick Jonas.

For you Freak Friday Lovers… there will be a Part II and yes… Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan will be starring in the 2025 Movie!

Dachshund Rescue of North America

This is a rescue that is near and dear to my heart. I have always had dachshunds in my life (from the beginning) and have adopted many! This rescue specialized in doxies and doxie mixes. If you have ever been owned by a doxie you will know they can be as they say “A LOT” lol!!! Wouldn’t have it any other way! Please drop by and find out all that they do and if you want to add a little one to your life I bet they can match you up!

Dachshund Rescue of North America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with one sole purpose — rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing needy dachshunds and mostly dachshund mixes. We are a network of experienced rescuers with representation in the northeast, mid-Atlantic, and southeast and have placed almost 12,000 dogs into their forever homes. DRNA began with a small number of rescuers who worked independently for a year before incorporating in 1999 to realize the benefits of combining resources.
