Thanks for caring about Pip. He has chronic issues related to Giardia last fall, and IVDD which flared up in June. He had back surgery at age 3 and laser treatments at 4, but then did well until now unlike most dachshunds who show IVDD early. He was a wild pup who could jump higher than any dachshund I’ve ever known, even though we tried to limit him. He is now more sedate and seems a little fragile at almost 11.5 years, but still with a big personality. We’ve had to shorten his beloved walks, but my son carries him part of the way so he can enjoy being out. He is spoiled rotten!
Hi there Debra! How are you! I hear you about back problems with doxies… been there a few times. I also hear you about a BIG personality!!! That is what makes dachshunds dachshunds lol! I so glad that he gets carried so he is out longer… they love it! Sounds like Pip is getting the best care he can get and tons and tons of love! Sending him tons of hugs and healing rayz!!!!!! BTW… they are suppose to be spoiled… just ask them lol!!!! Sending tons of hugs and love to you all! TTYS. PS… has he tried the new cold laser treatments?
