Charity of the Week: Marley’s Mutts
Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization (30-0636031) that is concentrated on saving the lives of Kern County’s incarcerated canines. Kern County’s shelters are bursting at the seams and register some of the highest euthanasia rates in the country. We are committed to these shelter dogs simply because they have NO ONE and are closest to death. These dogs are at the shelter because they have been abandoned, lost, neglected, discarded or abused and many of them have no way out but RESCUE. These dogs are without family, love or representation and we aim to save as many as we can. We are their rescuers, their voice and their future.

I couldn’t decide between yellow and lime green.

I don’t even know what to say the day after yet another shooter scare at yet another school. It’s so disheartening that our children have to feel the fear of this possibility when they should be enjoying their youth and getting their education. My daughter said the first thing she does when going into a new classroom is look for the exits, the hiding places… some of their college classrooms are only petitioned off with no doors at all. I am so glad she is graduating tomorrow. I am so thankful that this generation of kids are so brave and are standing up for and trying to make this world a better place.

Oh K… my heart bleeds for these kids… they just should not be going through all this horror. You broke my heart when you tol me about your daughter looking for exits. That just should NOT be! I am so happy to hear that she has graduated! One worry put to rest. They are a strong group of kids and I hope and pray that they continue to stay strong and save the world! Sending you hugs and wishes for a perfect day! Please send your daughter my congratulations.

I like pink tennis balls for Breast Cancer Awareness, then I don’t have to worry about green, yellow or yellow-green!
My dachshund is maybe missing me while I’ve been in Kentucky for 6 weeks, or maybe not, since my son is spoiling him!
Andrea says
Hi there Debra… I VOTE FOR ALL PINK TENNIS BALLS!!! Let’s start a petition! Sounds like that little doxie is having a vacay of his own lol!!! I am sure you will be greeted with at least a few tail wags lol… they are their own dog… that is for sure! Sending you hugs and wishes for a perfect day!
