Time to share some good news…I wanted you to know that there were many adoptions this week from the charities that we all have supported since The Rabbit Hole opened and oh so more being helped. Even one of our Goat Friends got his new legs and within 20 minutes after putting them on…he was butting heads with one of his friends…how cool is that! A chubby little old pup joined Muttville…her name is Monika…she is twice the size she should be and she has all ready lost a pound and is ready for adoption…how great is that! I know we are all bombarded with the sad news…so I want to share the HAPPY news with all of you so you know how much good you are doing!!! Ok…it is now time to take a leap down the Rabbit Hole…WARNING: there is a link that is a “nothing” but I have a feeling you will be playing with it for awhile…I did…let me know what you thought!

Charity of the Week: 100 Doghouses for 100 Dogs (IFAW)

Sometimes a simple solution can make a huge impact. In Playa del Carmen, Mexico, we’re using little blue doghouses to save individual dogs and to educate entire communities about the importance of animal welfare and conservation. In some areas in and around Playa del Carmen, dogs are commonly chained outside in the scorching Mexican sun with no shelter, or even a soft bed to lie on. Other stray dogs, like Sammy, scrounge on the street and beaches for food or water. They suffer from diseases and injuries. And sometimes their scavenging turns up the eggs of endangered sea turtles, with disastrous results for conservation. Our simple solution addresses both the suffering of street dogs and conservation issues, but we need your help. With your gift, you can help our new project “Casitas Azules” – or little blue houses – provide 100 doghouses for 100 dogs in desperate need. Each dog house costs $40 to build. Could you help provide a doghouse? Any amount you give will be so appreciated and can help us bring a family a doghouse. You can also help us teach them basic veterinary care and spread our message for improving animal care throughout the community. And you’ll help so many other animals that need us. What a difference you’ll make for animals in need! Sammy was just a pup of four months when he was rescued and brought to our clinic. He received the care he needed, as well as his first healthy meal in a while, perhaps ever.
