Hi there friends! Today we are going to explore the world of Fabulous DIY Farmhouse Edible Fall Centerpieces! I am kind of hooked on that and after I visited The Prudent Garden I am even deeper love with the whole idea. You will read more about it in a second…but think about this…you create an incredible Centerpiece with tons of beautiful produce…your table is a complete stunning orchestration of Fall …you celebrate …give thanks and when you are done…you pack up all the Vegetable and Fruit goodness and bring it to your Local Food Pantry to share with those less fortunate. I can’t tell you how fabulous of an idea I think this is. So easy to do and what an amazing Family Tradition this could be… any time of year. So when you are in need a a Centerpiece for Thanksgiving or any occasion …think about one of these beauties…no matter if you donate your produce or make some roasted veggies…soup…stews and more with it…it’s a full circle cycle and no waste…love that! No offense to Flowers everywhere…you are beautiful but I just adore the major bonus that comes from these Edible Centerpiece!
I am absolutely in love with this gorgeous Edible Centerpiece over at The Prudent Garden… not only is is beautiful and represents the Harvest of Fall…but there is a little story behind it. Mark and Debbie are members of Plant a Row for the Hungry. During the Fall Harvest they share their produce to help feed the Hungry. They were contacted by Ample Harvest to participate in Centerpieces for Food Pantries. No excess money spent on Flowers and such…but yet a gorgeous table and when you are done with your entertaining… you get to deliver all the produce to a Food Pantry (make sure they take Fresh Produce : ). I just think this is a full circle DIY… you get to decorate your table… have it mean something so very important…show the children yet another way to give back to those who need help and in the end…help feed those less fortunate than us. Can you think of a better Thanksgiving idea? I think it’s fabulous for all year round! Visit for the DIY and for more information. Maybe start a new family tradition.
