I think all of us that continue to gather here every Monday morning for the past 9 years think of Thrifting as an adventure! Anthropologie Inspired Mirror Makeover – Hometalk (Lauren Jamison)
Just like so many love the Pottery Barn look, people also adore the Anthropologie style! The only problem is is that many of their items can be extremely pricey! Well Lauren really wanted this gorgeous Anthropologie Mirror but it was out of her budget range. She did not give up! She wound up using her old bathroom mirror which she was using as a dance mirror in the girls playroom and she worked pure magic with that! She is going to take you through each step starting with Building the Frame right down to Attaching Appliques. In the end the mirror looks like it walked out of Anthropologies front door! It was a bit scratched up but she knew with a little bit of decoupage magic she would not only make this board into something decorative and beautiful, but functional too! That she did! She used an unopened pack of floral dinner napkins that fell out of her cabinet and proceed to create a Cottage Style Cutting Board for her new Cottage Chic Kitchen! Thrifted Wood Pedestal And Cloche Makeover – Diy Beautify
Cindy found this wood pedestal at her Thrift Shop for $2.99 and she knew that she had a glass cloche which was also thrifted that would pair nicely with it! However she didn’t want the “look” of the pedestal, it was a dark dated looking stain and it wasn’t what she envisioned. So this makeover is all about her stripping the pedestal down to that natural raw wood look with oven cleaner. If you haven’t tried this technique there is no time like the present! It really works and gives a great look. Well the cloche topped off this natural beauty perfectly! I am sure Joanna Gaines herself would place one of her amazing baked goods and display it proudly on her counter! Isn’t it crazy how many diamonds in the rough there are in the thrifting world! Cindy has such amazing style and makes wonderful projects that we can follow along with and enjoy all throughout the year! Thank you!
Pillar Coastal Candle Holders – Sadie Seasongoods
The Coastal Farmhouse look is a pretty hot ticket and Sarah joined the trend with these beauties! She found these candle holders in the Thrift Store, nothing special, plain Jane’s in fact but as always… she saw something special in them! So with the magic of chalk paints, jute and imagination she transformed them into these beauties! You can almost smell the salt air when you look at them. She shares her entire process so you might be able to adapt it to your finds. She is such a creative genius! Love sharing her creations!
