It’s Monday…so it must be time for some Fresh and Fabulously Farmhouse Thrift Store Makeovers! Our fellow bloggers never let us down. There are always some fresh ideas out there that inspire us to create new and amazing creations. So if you have an old lamp from the Thrift Shop…or maybe an old step stool that is very tired…or a vintage metal mirror tray that has seen better days …you need to check out all of these Farmhouse Thrift Store Makeovers…you will be so glad you did. You will be supercharged to get those pieces out that you picked up awhile back or you just might hop into your car and snatch up some cool new Thrift Store finds and start creating. Enjoy my friends!!!
Simply Beautify By Angela found some very dated pedestals at her Thrift Shop…what she did to them was simply FARMTASTIC! Drop by for ideas and inspiration that you can use on your next find.
If you happen to find a fun Thrift Store Frame…Julie over at My Wee Abode is waiting to show you Hot to Paint a Cottage Farmhouse Window…Coffee Style or whatever Words you would like. Get the step by step and you will be hanging this beauty in a snap.
We are visiting Bless’er House ( (If you haven’t eaten yet…sorry for the yumminess in front of you : ) Focus on the gorgeous tray because you have to go see what this looked like when it was picked out at the Thrift Store…you will not believe the transformation…oh there is so much inner beauty in so many things…this tray truly went the ugly duckling route (even though I thought the ugly duckling was cute : )…this tray is now a gorgeous Farmhouse Cottage Style Swan! Keep your eyes peeled for trays…as long as the tray have “good bones” you too can make a little miracle like this one happen.
If you are really lucky…you just might run into some Wooden Spools at your Thrift Shop or Flea Market. Green With Decor is going to show you how you can create an awesome Towel Holder…so unique and so easy to make. Check it out and keep those eyes peeled for SPOOLS!
Here is one of Larissa’s newest Thrift Store creation and I am so crushing on it! What fabulous Farmhouse Storage. She literally took someone’s trash and turned it into a magnificent Farmhouse piece. Come and see how this project started and be amazed how it ended. Larissa truly teaches us the lesson that just about every piece out there deserves a second chance!
This gorgeous Farmhouse Lamp that looks just like one that Joanna Gaines would choose for this desk was once a shiny…dated…brass lamp but look at it now. Ashley over at This Mamas Dance is going to show how you can work the same magic on your next Thrifted Find!
I had to share this with you…because this idea is really brilliant. It is all about using a Pallet Top and placing it on a cool and unique table bottom. It is such a fabulous idea and when you find the perfect pair…it makes for an amazing table. Just look at this one…match made in heaven! So maybe when you look around the Thrift Store…Flea Market or Garage Sale…see if you see any glass tables with interesting metal bottoms…they may not say FARMHOUSE right away…but there are so many ways that you can transform them…even if it is with a homemade planked top. Think about it…some cool stuff can happen!!! Check this out over at Homeward Found Decor!
This piece of Thrift Store Tupperware has been hanging out in Sarah’s Workshop for awhile now…she had a vision for it and it came to fruition! It gets a WOW!!! Sarah coveted an industrial rotating hardware bin and now she has one that she created herself. I am always amazed by the creativity I find over at Sadie Seasongoods. Drop by and see how she did it and then keep your eyes wide OPEN for similar pieces you can work this magic with.
Christy Little from Our Southern Home picked up a pretty tired old step stool…let’s just say it had seen better days…you will know what I mean when you visit! Well in the end she had a fabulous Coastal Farmhouse Stool that is one of the stars on her Farmhouse Porch. LOVE IT and you can use this technique on so many items that you pick up in your Thrift Shop.
Virginia from Artsy Vava took a pair of chairs she found at a Yard Sale and they were not in great shape…the veneer was coming up on the back but she knew she was going to work some paint magic on them …so what the heck right! Well that she did…come and see her entire process and how she applied the beautiful transfers. All tricks and tips to help you with your next transformation. Love them!
