A Bookcase is a wonderful way to make full use out of a corner space no matter how large or small. It acts as decorative storage for all of your Reading Treasures and it is also a perfect place to display and stylize Special Items that reflect who you are and your own personal style. It is also a fabulous in a Child’s Room or Play Room… it will store tons of toys and more nice and neatly all tucked into a corner that may never have been used. (I have found out through so much research on line that IKEA’s Billy Bookcase Series is one of the best and the most budget friendly Bookcases out there! Plus there are tons of ways to hack them to get exactly the look you want!)
I can’t think of a better way to use a corner. It would be a fabulous thing if everyone could acquire a special little corner as their own private little Reading Nook. It’s so simple I don’t know why we don’t do it more. A simple chair… floor lamp…a soft throw and maybe a little side table. You could also add some corner shelving to the wall. It’s a blank slate that you can make totally your own. Think about treating yourself… a little special self care! I know whatever you create is going to be heavenly and that next book your read is going to be extra sweet.
How about turning a corner into a little Cafe Space. A perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee or to share a meal. A simple table and chairs and don’t forget that amazing Gallery Wall behind it! Is your imagination soaring right now!
The girls over at A Beautiful Mess made their corner space work times two. Two work areas and hardly any room was used! A brilliant way to use a corner. They chose to hang artwork above which is awesome… but it would be a great use of space to add corner shelving for storage and to display your favorite things! This idea can be done in so many different style and so inexpensive to create.
If a full Book Shelf Unit is not what you had in mind… A Beautiful Mess has a DIY that just might be what your corner has been looking for. They are sharing a tutorial so you can create one that fits your space. What a great place to keep your books… special treasures and even hang artwork for a more dramatic design. Budget friendly but hi on design.
Not sure what to use your corner space for? Well how about a fun Bar or Coffee Cart that can be moved in a snap when you want to change things up?
A corner is a perfect place for a Plant or maybe a Tree! Add some more plants surrounding it and you have an gorgeous space. Quick… easy and budget friendly.
Even the smallest of corners can become a stylish work space.
Even a corner on a stairwell can become extraordinary with a stylish Wall Gallery! What a great look.
Over at Little House Of Four see how easy it is to turn a small corner space by the Front Door into a little Entryway nook with seating… storage and a place to hang your hat… coat… hoodie… purse … leash or anything you would like…even leave a message on the Chalkboard. It’s also a place to sit to remove your shoes or maybe display a decoration of the Season! Tons more inspiration awaits you over at this gorgeous blog.
This is a teeny corner but wow has it been put to good use. It’s funny… I have answered my own question on where to place a meditation space. I have a large Glass Door with a corner on the side… it’s perfect just like this is. I have recently taken to about 15 minutes of meditation a day to try to get centered and in turn get my heart beat stabilized. I am pretty excited to find the perfect pillow seat (going to try to find one just like this… love it). Then adding a few plants… some favorite books and maybe a few other things… what a great little corner. Do you have space for something like this? I think it would do you a lot of good !
Here is a brilliant idea for a corner with a window! You can create an entire reading or lounging space. Add shelving and seating. If you have someone in the family that is a great at building… they could make a bench or two smaller day bed bases. Then you can add cushions or upholster them. You can also use benches that you purchase and add cushions and pillows. You can create this space in so many different ways and the best thing is more than one can use it at the same time. A great place to retreat to.
A little reading corner for the special little one in your life is about an hour away! Really. All you need is a cushy cushion some pillows and then some shelving ledges so you can display all the books so your child has easy access! I bet you that this will be the favorite space in their room.
If you drop over at Down Red Bud Drive you will see how simple it is to convert a corner in the kids room that will keep their stuffies all in one safe place but they will still have easy accessibility to them all! This is a WIN WIN!!! A corner well spent.
Do you know what every corner needs? A TeePee!!!! Talk about the perfect Reading Nook for kids of all ages. I guarantee if you add one to a corner it will be total magic to your child… by the way… doggies love them too!
Emma Wallmen shows us that a corner Wall Gallery is always a great idea!
Beth placed a simple ladder in her corner and instantly it becomes the perfect storage space for all the blankets… plus it looks great!
Heather Bullard has placed a fabulous Farmhouse Round Table in her window corner and added a very casual but perfect vignette… then as a bonus… there is a large basket underneath that can act as storage… a place for blankets… books… magazines and more.
I mentioned that a corner is a perfect place for trees and I just found a gorgeous example over at Domino! How stunning and dramatic!
Now we are going to spend some time with Liz Marie… but before we take a look at her incredibly gorgeous Spring Greenhouse Corner… I want to congratulate her and Jose on their new adopted baby boy Copeland. They have been through so much in the last 10 years and now to see their dream realized makes my heart so very happy. OK… in the middle of all their excitement… she decorated one of her favorite things to decorate… a corner and it is magnificent. Please stop by for the full scoop and a close up look of the entire space. This is perfection!
