Adding a Splash of Drama – Apiece Apart
Looking for a splash of drama into your Farmhouse Style space? Well one of the easiest ways is to add an Oriental Rug. There are so many to choose from… all kinds of designs and color palettes… the sky is the limit! They will add interest to your space… a touch of worldly charm… a pop of color and warmth. You can find this style of rug just about every where. They would be great in the Living Room… as a Runner Down the Hall… the Bedroom… perfect in the Kitchen too… a small one right by the sink would be perfection. Is this something you might consider for your Farmhouse?
Plants and Natural Woods & Materials – Bohemian Decor Ideas
Plants are always a wonderful way to add a touch of Boho to your rooms. The more the merrier. I loved this room… just the perfect amount of green… warm woods and a relaxed and casual feel. I adore how the artwork is layered on the dresser free style… how the chair has a comfy pillow and a fringed throw. A beautiful flow throughout the room. This space is my idea of Boho meets Joanna Gaines! Hope you are inspired.
Basket Wall Decor with Bohemian Design – Sadie Seasongoods
It is really simple to give your space a look of a far away land by adding baskets to your wall. It could be two… three or an entire wall gallery. I personally just love these that were created by Sarah… she literally used baskets and accessories she picked up at her Thrift Store and created these beauties that look like they were purchased at a market in Marakesh! Collect baskets of all kinds… shapes and sizes and let your creativity flow.

Sometimes the Boho Style can get cluttered… but not here… this space is light… airy… peaceful and has Farmhouse Style with a Boho Charm. Just look around the room… The corner is composed of different plants of varying sizes and patterns… sheer canopy with a touch of boho fringe… a bold rug that brings everything together and just the ultimate touch of whimsy!
Weathered Patina Wood – A Piece Apart
How about redoing the Kitchen Cabinets with a paint treatment that has a rich… aged patina like this one. You will have an instant Boho feel. This Kitchen is truly magical but might be a little over the top for the Modern Farmhouse lovers. There are so many incredible Farmhouse elements from the Crock Collection to the glorious Basket Collection and that amazing Table! Any of those elements will give you a very lived in space that welcomes people with open arms.
Handmade Mud Cloth Throw Pillows – Pinterest
Adding a collection of Mud Cloth throw pillows will add just the right touch of Boho flair to your space. The patterns here scream Boho and Farmhouse at the same time. I hate to keep making the Joanna Gaines reference… but these are pillows that she would so use to her Modern Farmhouse designs. The graphic designs pop! I know you can find the perfect throws for you space.
Boho Farmhouse Living Room – Jessica Sara Morris
A Classic Modern Farmhouse look can get a bit of the Boho Vibe by adding something unexpected like that amazing light fixture. Fringy and unique it adds whimsy and texture to the space. Jessica truly shows us that thinking out of the box can be the key to getting your look just right! When you visit you will see that she will probably be changing out the rug… but I truly have to admit… I simply love it! I know that this room will totally inspire you!
Woven Wall Art/Macrame – Black and Blooms
There is one quick and easy way to add a touch of Boho to your Farmhouse space and that is with a Woven Piece of Wall Art. It adds interest… whimsy… texture and simply looks amazing. You might want to branch out and make your own! Neutral is always wonderful… but you can experiment with your favorite color palette. So many possibilities. Isn’t this room calling you to come cuddle up and read a great book! So comfy cozy.
Boho Accessories – Ibizaboho Girl
Accessorize… Accessorize… Accessorize Yvon shows us that accessories can totally give your room a certain Vibe. The colored glass and Mantel accessories are so Farmhouse yet have a great Boho Vibe to them… mixing a vintage Mid Century Modern Chair to the mix with a weathered side table works perfectly! She also uses some vibrant colors which work wonderfully… you should envision what it would look like with your favorite color palette. I personally would love a more blended pattern in a shades aqua, light coral, neutral and a touch of navy… what would your choice be? You will find more inspiration when you visit. The look you are wanting is not far away nor is it hard to achieve! ENJOY!
Eclectic Art – Girl Friend Is Better
A very simple way to cross Farmhouse with Boho is adding a Gallery Wall of Eclectic Art to one of your favorite walls. A mix of different frames (check your Thrift Store) and a whimsical selection of artwork. It doesn’t have to be expensive… check out some old books and I bet you will find things you would love on the wall! Farmhouse style may have more “structure” to it and Boho is by far more relaxed than any other style… but with a Gallery Wall like this… you actually get both… organization and whimsy! Hey… you could add a mirror or wicker piece to the gallery too… just have fun with it!
Vintage Furniture – Orphans With Make Up
Boho is all about being eclectic… so by adding a great vintage piece of furniture to the space is a fabulous idea! Totally loving this look… but just stop and think of all the possibilities. You can find a fabulous vintage piece of furniture and use it as is… or you can find one that you want to refinish… the possibilities are truly endless there. I know that you will really enjoy having a beautiful featured piece in your room!
DIY Faux Bone Inlay Chest Of Drawers – Cityscape Bliss
The Bone Inlay look is so popular with the Boho Style and it would be a wonderful addition to your Farmhouse Decor. It will POP and be the perfect marriage with the other pieces around it. These beauties can be extremely expensive… but here is a DIY for the Faux Bone Inlay Look… can you believe that this piece is an IKEA HACK??? I mean really. You will find a complete DIY here if you feel like tackling one. You can also use the basic diy and apply it to whatever piece you choose. Doing just the top of a piece of furniture is fabulous too.
