Ladder Back Chair Makeover
We are going to visit Ashley over at Little Glass Jar. She found a Ladder Back Chair for $6 at her Goodwill (great deal). You have to come and see how she transformed the chair into a piece that looks like it cost about $300 from Pottery Barn. One thing I can tell you is that there is a whole lot of sanding happening… but the end result is so worth it. Check it out… you can use her technique on just about any wooden piece you can imagine!
Matching a Jewelry Music Box to an Antique Dresser via a Thrift Store Find
I simply adore this!!! Sarah from Sadie Seasongoods found a Jewelry Box at her Goodwill that had the basic bones of a dresser of hers! She knew that it was the kind of wood that bleeds through paint… but she really wanted to paint it white… I am sure you have run into that so her tips and tricks will certainly help you out. OK… maybe you are not into the Mounted Police… but you do know how many fun tins of all different sizes and styles you can find in the Thrift Store! Well… I am hoping that this little Succulent Planter Display just might inspire you to create something just like it. The only thing I would add is make sure to drill a few holes (you can use the lid as a saucer) and add a thin layer of gravel before the soil! Now keep your eyes peeled for un tins… vintage or new!
