Morning one and all! Hope you had a picture perfect Monday! Here in NJ we are finally seeing a little bit of SUN!!! Today I have a little tutorial for you…just a little something that is quick and easy…a little embellishment that can add a smile to any package you have…it could be used as an ornament…a magnet…on a scrapbook page and the list goes on. Hope you enjoy it and needless to say the alterations are limitless! Notice…I used Fall colors and not pink…amazing right! ENJOY!
Hope you enjoy this little project!
Let’s Start with two different size hearts…some ribbon…some flowers and some decorative paper…
Trace the large heart onto your decorative paper and cut out the heart…
Now simply glue the paper to the heart and let dry well…
Now just take a little piece of sand paper and sand the edges for a pretty shabby look
Here it is all shabby and I added a little bit of sepia wash to the sides and the back for just a little extra pops! Also at this point please drill two holes on either side of the top of the heart where you are going to lace the ribbon (sorry that picture did not come out 🙁 or if you are using card stock just punch your holes.
Now take your little heart…give it a little bit of color or not and glue your little roses on and viola!
Now it is time to attach the hearts together…
now all you have to do is lace your ribbon through the holes and attach to your package!
not only is is a pretty decoration…you can add a magnet to it…
or you can punch holes in your little bag and thread this pretty through and tie! doesn’t it look pretty!
This would make such a cute little gift for a special person…how about adding a yummy chocolate croissant wrapped in parchment tied with bakers twine inside with a pretty little napkin…how cute would that be! Or a stack of yummy cookies or an eclair or…one thing you can be sure of they will love it!
There are so many possibilities and variations to this little project so let your imagination soar…one thing is for sure…it is quick and easy and very pretty! They would make such pretty little ornaments also. Hope you enjoy and make tons in all kinds of colors…who needs a traditional bow when you can have a handmade treat! ENJOY!
See you tomorrow!
