Have you every considered a Metal Treatment for your ceiling?  Well they did over at BHG and it looks pretty amazing.  There are so many different ways you can add metal to you ceiling starting with tin tiles (new or vintage)…metal sheets or strips and the list goes on.  It’s not for everyone but it does make a big impact on your space.

 

Orac Decor

I thought this ceiling was really interesting and is actually one that is extremely doable for so many people.  There is no building involved which sometimes is a huge plus!  The ceiling was created with an assortment of ceiling medallions that you can pick up at a local Home Depot or Lowes…etc…  You can purchase different sizes and different designs…then paint them in the color of choice…adhere to the ceiling with nails (don’t forget to paint the head of the nail so it doesn’t show).  Add as many or as few as you like.  You may even go for a GRAND one in the center of the ceiling…the possibilities are truly endless.  Thank you Orac Decor for inspiring us!

I had to share this Pin with you…there is no website link to it : ( but still had to show you.  It’s magical…almost makes me feel as though I am in the main hall of Hogwarts!  It is a look that can be achieved by painting a ceiling with the design and colors you love and then placing wood beams on to the ceiling.  This one is done in a midnight blue with gold metallic suns and stars.  Can you just imagine what you can do!

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this kitchen…there is not one thing I do not love about it (even the location in the West Village).  My eyes went side to side admiring the fabulous subway tile and that gorgeous pendant chrome light fixture…up and down and then UP again to admire the beautiful ceiling that is tiled with embossed ceiling tiles.  I know first hand that you can get these at your local stores like Home Depot and Lowes…I know because I have purchased them.  We have these in our dining room and they were pretty easy to install as long as you have things planned out.  The ones that we used actually slide into each other for a nice tight fit.  It does add personality and charm to your room and not at a price that will break the bank.

Elle Decor

This Entrance Hall over at Elle Decor is a bit dramatic…but it does look pretty awesome…but I have a feeling that many of my readers would really enjoy something a bit toned down…so just close your eyes and imagine some of those gorgeous wallpaper samples you have seen that you are dying to use and continue them up to the ceiling.  I would highly NOT recommend stripes if your patience is limited : )  They look incredible but very difficult to match.   Your possibilities are once again limitless.

This beautiful kitchen over at BHG is sporting a fabulous Farmhouse Weathered White Wood Ceiling and it is pretty incredible.  Subtle but it is one of the shining stars in this kitchen.  The combination of wood…gray …black and weathered white where meant to be together.
