Hi everyone…hope you are having a wonderful day. Today I have a little tutorial for you…once again…the basic supplies will remain the same but you can use any embellishments your heart desires…I also think that an eclectic set would be tons of fun! The one that I put together is very cottage but the possibilities are endless! It is a quick and easy craft and one that I hope you enjoy! Later today I will put part 2 up…it is a Crate and Barrel Napkin Ring knock-off with just 2 steps…drop back later and check it out!
Let’s begin!
You will need a few pretty supplies that are all easily found in a craft store near you! Some florist tape…wooden rings (they are sold in the wooden section of the store in little packets) a bit of lace or trim…your favorite flowers and embellishments…glue and 1 inch wooden circles.
Now cut a nice long piece of florist tape…stick it to the ring and begin to pull gently and wrap for a nice tight fit…
wrap until it is completely covered and then with your fingers just flatten any little bumps…it is so easy because you need nothing but your fingers : ) now just place aside.
With a simple needle and thread take a strip of lace or trim about 4 inches long and do a simple gather stitch…if you would rather do it with a bit of glue…no problem…
simply glue the little gathered piece to one side of the one inch wooden circle…
if you like…glue some pretty little leaves or embellishments of your choice to the other side for balance…
Now with a touch of hot glue…place your featured flower in the center…
I added a pretty little trio of tiny white roses
…with a nice dollop of glue…attach to the ring (hold it in place for a few minutes so it is totally secure and allow to dry) and viola…it is done!
Time to set the table with your finest!
So simple…so pretty! I hope you have tons of fun putting your own spin of these and there a million and one ways to do it. I just found that doing a little arrangement on the 1 inch disc allowed a lot more versatility and was just so much easier that attaching each piece to the ring : ) I know you will create some beauties…hope you enjoy!
See you later today with part 2
