How to Repurpose an Antique Table as a Kitchen Island – Holland Avenue Home
Avery was searching for a unique piece of furniture for a Thrift Store Makeover Challenge and she found this beauty on Facebook Market! Its really beautiful and has a lot of details so it was a perfect piece to work with. She originally wanted to have a solid wood item but she decided to just sand the top to the raw wood and give it a wonderful finish. The natural green patina was just too beautiful to paint or sand over! She certainly made the right decision because it is really stunning (that is coming from a person that is asked when not to paint or paint always answers PAINT lol) After she cleaned and finished up… she then added casters to the legs so it could move easily in the Kitchen. Some new hardware and voila! A little makeover and upcycle all rolled into one! The final results speak for themselves! Enjoy and be inspired… maybe you might be lucky and find a piece that has a natural patina to it!
