Some times there is a little space in your home that is in need of a little pick me up and that is exactly what my little “kitchen station” needed. It’s a versatile space that can easily be converted into a coffee bar, hot chocolate bar, a little buffet and an array of other special hats it wants to wear. Mostly though, it is a space that we use every day. The kitchen does not have a specific signature color…but instead an eclectic array of the blue family…so I thought that some new accessories would do the trick. So when Kirkland’s asked me to partner with them I was thrilled and I knew it would be the perfect place to find the little treasures to freshen up this space. You know when you want to do something NOW and not make a long project of things? Well that is the way I felt about this space so I went on-line to Kirkland’s and spent some time searching for the perfect accessories for the space. There was so much to choose from but I got exactly what I wanted and needed and the color mix was fun…not matchy matchy…but all in the perfect family. It was so quick and easy! Let me show you what I did when Refreshing a Kitchen Space.

Let me show you how this happened!

A plant that had a pop of color and a bold planter was needed so this wonderful Turquoise Geometric Embossed Planter was perfect.

The short stack of books was a great place to display something and to tell you the truth when I saw this Blue Colorburst Clock I wanted it and placing it on top of the books was a perfect home for it.

Then there was the space under the shelf that was calling out for something pretty. I thought of crystal knobs to hang utensils on but I didn’t want to make a design move that was permanent. So I used simple white mug hooks and drilled them into the bottom of the shelf where no one could ever see them if I decided to change things. I found the perfect style mugs…Turquoise Sweet Olive Beverage Mugs which had a complimentary color and design to the planter and clock. They all found a new home hanging around waiting for a yummy cup of coffee to be poured in them…but in the mean time looking fabulous!

All three of the new additions to the shelf section worked very nicely together with the existing items.

Now for some new pieces that can be used all together or switched out on the station’s top. The Black Wire Two Tiered Basket was perfect for the fresh fruit and veggies and what a great way to add a POP of color that is constantly changing with your Farmer’s Market choices! But when you set up a coffee bar…hot chocolate bar…tea bar or whatever you might be serving…the Two Tiered Basket will hold many condiments all in one convenient place. This basket is totally multi-functional.

Then I saw this Embossed Covered Casserole that was the perfect color and something that I can make use of in so many different ways…I could bake a crumble in it…a yummy veggie casserole…I could use it to serve some fresh fruit or a million other things plus it would be a fun change on the top shelf at any time and look perfect.

A triple Mason Jar Flatware Caddy was a perfect addition. You can use it for a million and one things like storing your utensils…or serving pieces…straws…candy…even fresh flowers…the uses are endless! I also think that it would be a perfect focal centerpiece with all three glasses filled with beautiful blooms.

One more item that I thought was perfect for when we are having guests or a crowd…the Sweet Team Glass Beverage Dispenser…fill it up…place the glasses out and you won’t have to run back and forth to refresh for awhile! So convenient and looks great. Then there are the little Vintage Milk Glasses…perfect for the kids and come on…they are just too cute not to have in your collection of glasses. Plus you can use them as mini vases too!

I love how all of the pieces work together …
