What is Take 5 you ask…well it is a collection of 5 things that I think you will all enjoy! It can be themed…random…food…crafts…home decor and everything in between. Hopefully you will love them enough to take 5 minutes out of your busy day… relax and enjoy! Today it’s all about Decorating with Navy!
Navy is such a regal color so it is a great one to look at today since the future King of England was born!
I personally fell in love with this gorgeous little space…the dramatic blue drapes…the luxurious wallpaper…wide wonderful molding and the charmer of this area is the small but tall stunning navy blue dresser…topped with a vignette that can be changed out to suit your mood and a tan rug…it all equals luxury and beauty!
A classic and tailored look…the crisp white and navy just fit this stylish room like a glove. The different patterns and designs of the pillow add pop and that wonderfully navy striped rug brings it all together.
From another page of Idigo Style is a light…airy and very inviting room that features a few different styles. Navy and white work seamlessly to create a FRESH space!
House Beautiful shows off the navy coupled with tan and white If They could be considered the 3 musketeers as far as a color trio is concerned : )! Loving the rug and how the designer brought another element of the checkered look to the upholstery. Bold stripes seem to be a natural and all the patterns together make for sweet dreams!
Navy accessories sure do make a room pop! Strategic placement of navy brings the room alive!I also enjoy a touch of modern mixed with traditional in this room…it certainly has its own distinct personality. Check out that navy chandy…it’s awesome!
I have to say that I never really considered navy much in my color choices…but after looking at many stunning rooms containing the rich and regal color…I just might rethink using it!
Hope you had fun…I think Take 5 is going color hunting again this week so join us for the continuing saga : )

My former home was very much navy. I had navy and white buffalo checked curtains in the kitchen and the backsplash had a checkerboard of navy and white tile. Now I am more into primary colors with only a bit of navy paired with red and yellow.
My wardrobe at one time was very much navy, but I find it hard to find navy shoes now other than my navy converse. 2 summers ago I found some navy sandals at Nordstrom and I grabbed them. And I don’t even want to talk about how difficult it is to find a great navy purse.
I think navy rooms are so timeless and classic.I need to check out indigo style.
I once had a bedroom of navy and white and loved it. I had forgotten how much navy appealed to me until looking at your inspiration photos. Thanks, Andrea!

Before we got married (years ago), I registered for all of my bathroom items in navy and lime green. At wedding showers, I always got sideways looks. or the occasional gasp with the navy and lime green towels, rug and accessories. I wanted a lime green and navy bathroom and I was going to get it. I have to tell you it turned out beautifully! My husband loved and much to my mother’s and sisters’ chagrin, they had to admit they thought it looked pretty great. There is something about the crispness of navy blue that makes it a wonderful color theme for a room or turn another room into great fun as a background for some whimsy.
I think navy collection is so classy and beautiful it will definitely increase the beauty of your bedroom or home so use navy color in home decoration is as great idea. Thanks for sharing this post.
