But first… I bet many of you wonder how Pantone chooses the color of the year. I sure wanted to know so I did a bit of reading and found out that a whole lot of thought goes into the choice. Laurie Pressman the companies Vice President says: “With everything that’s going on today, we’re looking for those humanizing qualities because we’re seeing online life dehumanizing a lot of things,” Pressman told The Associated Press ahead of Wednesday’s annual colour unveiling. “We’re looking toward those colours that bring nourishment and the comfort and familiarity that make us feel good. It’s not too heavy. We want to play. We want to be uplifted.” She also adds: “It’s the emotional nourishment. It’s a big hug,” she said of Living Coral. I love coral, and it does go well with my favorite blue. And for once I am ahead of the game as we painted lighter coral walls and deeper coral furniture in 2015! It is a cheerful, yet sophisticated color to me.
I love Coral myself! It is such a happy color! Sounds like you are surrounded by CHEER!!! Here’s wishing you and your whole family the best Holiday Season Ever! HUGS!
