Interesting tips aren’t they!  I especially loved the illustration that showed tomato trouble…printed it out for easy reference…a great way to know what is going on with your tomato plants.  The hanging basket idea is awesome and that is on this families list for sure!  Hope this really helps the beginner Tomato grower and has a few tips that help the most seasoned and experienced tomato grower.  I have a feeling that there are some really tasty benefits to this tomato growing venture. A tomato garden filled with tons of varieties of tomatoes is just a dream now…but hopefully will be a reality in the near future for me and for you!  Happy GROWING!!!!!

I’m going to try growing more tomatoes this year. I’ve had a lot of success with grape tomatoes, but last time I tried oxheart and we ended up with only one that ripened. I especially liked the pruning tutorial. Last summer, my parents told me about an Amish woman they saw out pruning her tomatoes. Before that, none of us knew that was a thing!

I am trying the ultimate “grow your own tomatoes, by themselves” experiment. Tomorrow we will start a six week vacation in Europe. I planted 16 tomato plants in my raised garden beds on March 14 in southwest Louisiana. On March 15 we had rain. Last night I think we had a light frost, but I am staying near the airport. So I have no idea if the little tomato plants survived. We will see on April 30! Check out my blog on May 1 (or before then for an update on our European vacation). Linda@Wetcreek Blog
