I’m going to try growing more tomatoes this year. I’ve had a lot of success with grape tomatoes, but last time I tried oxheart and we ended up with only one that ripened. I especially liked the pruning tutorial. Last summer, my parents told me about an Amish woman they saw out pruning her tomatoes. Before that, none of us knew that was a thing!

I am trying the ultimate “grow your own tomatoes, by themselves” experiment. Tomorrow we will start a six week vacation in Europe. I planted 16 tomato plants in my raised garden beds on March 14 in southwest Louisiana. On March 15 we had rain. Last night I think we had a light frost, but I am staying near the airport. So I have no idea if the little tomato plants survived. We will see on April 30! Check out my blog on May 1 (or before then for an update on our European vacation). Linda@Wetcreek Blog
