I am so excited for this entire week. Why…because I will be sharing 5 Wedding in a Jar DIY Projects with you along with my friends…Angie from The Country Chic Cottage, Gina from The Shabby Creek Cottage, Desiree from The 36th Avenue and Malia from Yesterday On Tuesday. Many of the projects can be adapted into many uses… prepare to hear Wedding Bells ringing. I am starting this festive week off with a Wedding Mason Jar DIY Table Number piece and it comes with a set of free floral chalkboard printables 1-20! Come on in and check it out.
This little DIY is so simple. You start with an 8 ounce mason jar. With acrylic or chalkboard paint…paint the entire jar (lid removed) …let it dry completely before applying the second coat…then decide if it needs a third. I have to admit I am a bit impatient so I speed things up with a blow dryer : ) Paint your Mason Jar to match the decor of your wedding.

Since I was blessed with a black thumb but really love flowers and plants…I decided to snatch up some faux succulents which look fabulous and are so on trend! Bet you didn’t know they were faux by looking at them and they look just as good in person. I simply placed a piece of styrofoam about 1 1/2″ high in the jar by putting a little dab of hot glue to the bottom. You can use a circle piece or you can piece them together because no one is going to see them. Then you are going to glue the moss on top of the styrofoam. Last but not least you glue the succulent plants of your choice or flowers on to the moss and viola…there is your mini arrangement. It’s so easy! Then…

The next step is so simple. I just took white organza ribbon and wrapped it around the lid and glued it down…then tied a small bow and hot glued it where the seam of the ribbon. You can do it in contrasting colors or you can even paint them or just leave them silver…so many options!

Then I printed out my table numbers and trimmed them! You can too by downloading them right here… 1 through 20!

Then I stuck the spiral wire holder through the moss and into the styrofoam for a nice firm fit. (by the way I have to admit I cheated…I did not make my own holder…I bought them here). You can very easily make your own…but I wanted a very finished look. Then…
