Dried wheat immediately gives a table that beautiful harvest feeling and Lucy turns it into the sweetest little tea light decoration. Want to know my little formula for making almost any spot feel like Fall? Here we go!
A basket…bowl…pitcher…urn…jar or tray.

A candle…book…linen napkin…piece of wood…throw…or little bit of vintage pottery.
Yep…STOP! You don’t have to fill every empty inch.
Sometimes that one simple little arrangement is exactly what the room needed.

Budget Friendly Autumn Drink Station…Handmade Farmhouse
And I couldn't think of a cozier way to finish! Gather some mugs…a tray…jars and your favorite Fall drink goodies and create a little Autumn Drink Station. Emily even points out that you can use things you already have at home. Imagine coming into the kitchen on a cool morning and having Apple Cider…Hot Cocoa or something pumpkiny waiting for you. Now THAT makes a house feel like Fall!
Remember…You Don’t Have To Decorate All At Once!
I think this is the most important thing I want you to take away today.
You don't need twenty new decorations.
You don't have to finish the whole house in one weekend.
And you certainly don't have to decorate because somebody on Instagram already has twelve pumpkins and a plaid blanket on every chair!
Start with one little spot. Bring in a basket. Cut a few branches. Put apples in a pretty bowl. Drape a favorite throw over the sofa. Light a wonderful candle. Then live with it for a few days.
When the weather starts changing and you are ready for more…add a little more.
That's the beautiful thing about this time of year. We can let our homes change right along with the season.
For now…I am going to keep one foot firmly planted in Summer while allowing just a teeny tiny bit of Fall through the front door!
How about you? Are you ready for a few little touches of Fall…or are you still holding onto every last drop of Summer?
Either answer is perfectly acceptable around here!
