5 Simple and Affordable Ways to Refresh Your Home Before Fall – Cozy & Budget-Friendly Tips
Hi there, friends! Can you believe how fast this summer is flying by? I Was in The Dollar Tree yesterday and Halloween and Fall where moving in onto the shelves!!! Before we know it, those cozy Fall days will be here… but for now, we still have time to enjoy the light, fresh feeling of summer in our homes. If your space is feeling just a little tired from the heat and the busyness of the season, don’t worry… it doesn’t take much to give it a little lift! Today I’m sharing 5 simple and affordable ways to refresh your home before Fall arrives. These little updates are quick, easy, and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Let’s dive in!

1. Clear the Clutter
Start with a little mid-summer declutter. Put away the things that have collected over the last couple of months like pool bags, beach towels, or stacks of mail. Give your surface tops room to breathe again. Maybe a bowl of lemons for a touch of freshness. There is something about a clean counter top that makes us all feel good!
2. Bring in Fresh Flowers or Greenery
Maybe it is time to add a new plant to your growing family of greenery! Treat yourself one step further and get that special planter container you really want for it! Also, don’t forget all of the DIY Planter Possibilities out there! A vase of fresh-cut flowers or even a few stems of greenery can instantly brighten up any room too. A quick trip to the grocery store or my favorite place to get fresh flower Trader Joe’s (their selection is so wonderful and the prices are oh so budget friendly). Even a little bundle or Rosemary and Basil from the garden in a little vase can add that touch of freshness you will love!
3. Swap Out Your Textiles
Wash and rotate throw blankets, pillow covers, and table linens. Opt for lighter textures and airy fabrics… this keeps your space feeling cool and fresh during the last warm weeks. I am sure most of you want to make Summer last as long as possible!
4. Add a Touch of Scent
Sometimes all it takes is a little fragrance to feel renewed. Open the windows, light a clean, summery candle (like linen or citrus), or simmer a pot of lemon and rosemary on the stove. It is an instant mood changer for everyone!
5. Rearrange and Restyle
Now here are some super budget friendly things you can do! Move your decor around a bit! How about trying a new arrangement on your mantel, shift your furniture slightly, or create a new little vignette. (I love vignettes, they are so much fun to put together and you can usually make one by shopping your own home… remember you can fill it in on the cheap with a visit to your Thrift Store!) It’s amazing what a difference a few minutes of styling can make.
