Joe, Peter, Georgia, Angel Alie and I would like to wish you all a wonderful morning. I don’t know what is like by you qw got close 16 inches and it is 5 degrees out there this morning. No matter where you are I hope you are staying warm and safe. I was out the other day right after the snow and for the first time in a very long time my heart was a bit warmed as I saw people on the blocks kids playing together and other neighbors helping other neighbors with the snow removal and more. Like a page out of a Norman Rockwell book. How I wish it could stay that way. If any of you here are from the Minneapolis Area our heart… thoughts and prayers are with you all and to all the families that are being affected by this horror. Please please stay safe!!! Can’t wait to see what you have been up to this week! Sending hugs to all

Hi Andrea! So glad you are staying cozy and warm in this crazy weather! It’s supposed to get in the low 20s here in FL on Saturday and Sunday nights. Thank you for featuring my Mardi Gras King Cake Cinnamon Sugar Cookies. And, yes, they’re more time consuming to make than the actual big King Cakes (which I posted today)! ** North of Dallas we had about 5-6″ of snow, but it was the 1/2″ of ice beneath everything that was bad. In fact, it’s getting into the 40s-50s during the sunny days now, but high teens at night, so whatever is still there freezes back up again until about noon. Strangely, our side of the street has perfectly dry driveway & walks (and only snow in flower beds), but the other side of the street still has snow & ice on their driveways & lawns! ** You will appreciate this … When I was little, we lived north of Chicago (until I was 12) where we’d get LOTS of snow. My job in the winter was to shovel a walk in the backyard for Twig, my wire-haired dachshund, to go out. He hated it and I remember the snow would be about twice as high as he was tall when he went into the corridor that I’d shoveled! ** Stay safe & warm and I’ll catch y’all again next week.
Thanks so much for hosting this link party every Monday. The news is filled with so many terrible situations that good people are fighting to make better. My prayers go out to them. thanks so much much for the feature for the bookcase styling. It’s always a pleasure to create a new look for an old space. Wishing you a wonderful week.
