Good morning, friends…welcome back to another fresh and inspiring edition of A Morning Cup of Joe!
Pour yourself a cup of something delicious, find a comfortable place to relax and join me for a collection filled with sweet summer recipes, cozy decorating ideas, creative projects and simple seasonal inspiration.
This week’s features are such a lovely reflection of this time of year. We have juicy peaches, beautiful blueberries, chocolate cookies, homemade bread and even an orange Creamsicle inspired biscotti that sounds absolutely irresistible!
Once we have enjoyed all of those delicious treats, we are going to visit a charming summer hutch, wander through a midsummer garden and admire a peaceful coastal vignette that gently begins the transition into fall.
There are also colorful seasonal crafts, creative summer activities for the Littles, a helpful back to school routine and a truly beautiful mosaic flowering tree. It is one of those collections that has a little something for everyone…and I hope it brings a few new ideas and a whole lot of inspiration to your day.
So grab that coffee, my friends…and let’s see what everyone has been creating!
From Our Family to Yours
Joe, Peter, Gorgeous Georgia, Little Angel Alie and I would like to wish you all a wonderful day and a fabulous weekend!
I have a few updates to share. Peter is doing better, but he developed an infection in his tooth, so it will be coming out on Monday. After everything he has already been through, we are hoping this will not be too difficult for him.
I actually have some good news too… my lungs are improving, and I no longer have to be on oxygen 24/7! I will be experimenting a little to see how long I can comfortably go without it at one time, and hopefully I can gradually work my way up to a nice stretch. I am simply so relieved to know that I probably will not need it forever, although I may still need it at night.
The more I keep up with my breathing exercises and physical exercises, the stronger my lungs and back should become. I have to admit that I am thrilled not to have to drag that big oxygen machine into the bathroom with me anymore! LOL!
Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers and beautiful rays of sunlight… please keep them coming because we truly do need them!
Joe will be seeing his doctor in a few weeks, and I will fill you in on how that goes. I can tell you that his very short term memory is simply not there right now, and we are hoping it does not progress too far. One day at a time.
Gorgeous Georgia continues to receive IV fluids three times a week, along with all of her daily medications.
Sending tons of hugs and love to each and every one of you! We are so happy that you are part of our little family!

Good Morning Andrea,
What a great collection of featured links you have at the party today. Thank you so much for featuring my Peach Cobbler Cupcakes, we just love those cupcakes! I hope you are having some cooler weather where you are. We are still in the oven down here. Stay cool and have a fantastic week. Thanks so much for all the amazing coffee breaks on Friday mornings.
Miz Helen
Y’all must be getting more rain than we are north of Dallas. My summer garden more resembles your wood fence! (haha) Only thing really blooming in my backyard are begonias in an area that the sprinkler line leaks!
Thank you for featuring my July reads and arugula recipes at your weekly link up! I always enjoy seeing what everybody is creating. I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better, I hope the heat and smoke don’t affect you. Take care!
Thank you so much for hosting, Andrea, amidst all you have going on. I will keep you and yours in prayer. So glad your lungs are improving!
Hi Andrea! That’s great news. I hope your lungs keep improving and you don’t have to use the oxygen much. I’ll be thinking about you (all of you). Thanks for hosting us and I appreciate the feature. It’s always a bit hard to get into the mental space for Christmas in July but I’m really happy with how the gingerbread plate turned out. It will be fun to use it this holiday season. Take care and have a great week. XO- MaryJo
Thanks so much for the update, Andrea! I’ll keep Peter in my prayers as the tooth comes out next week and I’ll continue to keep you in my thoughts as your lungs continue to improve! Being off oxygen 24/7 must be such a relief! As always, thanks for all you do to keep The Cottage Market going and especially A Morning Cup of Joe. Special thanks for featuring our “Spray Bottle Fun” post this week and for the kind words you shared! Happy weekend ahead!
Andrea,
Happy to hear your need for the oxygen has decreased!! Good News!!
My entries for today’s party are # 20, 21 and 22!

Continued prayers for your family!!
