This week’s Aldi finds include fun deals, easy meal ideas, pickle favorites, dorm picks, snacks and budget friendly buys.
Hello friends! I have been saying that I wanted to start doing an Aldi post each week to bring you some of the specials, reviews, tips, tricks, recipes, deals and more to help make your shopping trip a little more fun and useful.
So today we are starting with our very first Aldi sneak peek!
I love shopping at Aldi and I honestly get excited each week to see what is new, what fun seasonal goodies have arrived and of course, to grab the things my family already loves. I also have to tell you that Aldi has been a huge help with the food budget. I never thought my family would love store brands the way they do, but it happened. I knew it was official when my son started loving Aldi ketchup instead of the 57 variety. I truly thought that was an impossibility!
So throughout the weeks, I will share what we love, tell you about anything new that we try, scope out the best deals and all that jazz lol. I will also tell you if I do not like something, because that is helpful too!
Let’s get our quarter out, grab our cart and get to shopping.
Aldi Finds
Fun Deals, Must Tries And Easy Ideas This Week
Please Remember
As always, Aldi items can vary by location and some of these goodies may disappear quickly, so think of this as a little inspiration before your next shopping trip. I hope it helps you spot something useful, delicious or just a little happy for your home.
Fun Deal Alert
I know the kids do not go back to school for a bit, but if you are looking for a great little teacher gift that you can personalize with some yummy snacks, check out this Crofton Teacher Appreciation Snack Box! Fill it up with some goodies, maybe personalize it with a name at the top using a paint marker, wrap it in cello or place it in a cute box and you have a great little gift for under $10 when filled. You could also fill it with paper clips, thumbtacks, elastic bands, erasers or special little bits to use as classroom rewards for the kids. Use your imagination and have fun with it!
Fun Deal #2
I had to add one more because I do not want to overwhelm you, but how cute is this little Kirkton Classroom Treasure box! This is another great gift idea for a teacher because it is loaded with little rewards for the kids. I also think it is great for parents, grandparents and anyone who has kids running around in the summer. You can use the little goodies as rewards when they complete a craft, do something kind, help around the house or just need a little fun surprise. It is inexpensive and you get a nice bit of bang for your buck.
Off To College Fun Deal
A lot of you have kids going off to college in September and I think they would love the Ambiano Powder Blue Electric Kettle and the matching 2 Slice Toaster. An electric kettle is truly the appliance I did not know I needed. It is also really handy for ramen making in a dorm room lol! They also have great deals on matching frying pans, garbage baskets and more.

Aldi Favorites
Must Tries This Week
Pickles By Aldi
If you love pickles, Aldi has to be on your list. Aldi is a pickle master, whether you are planning a party, a BBQ or just want something delicious for yourself. The Park Street Deli Fresh Deli Slices are fabulous, and their gherkins are wonderful too. And do not even get me started on the Atomic Spicy Chips!
Fried Pickle And Ranch Dip
If you do not have time to make the viral pickle dip, trust me, this will give you the experience you deserve! This is one of Aldi’s best sellers and it is such a fun one to put out with chips, crackers, veggies or whatever you love to dip.
Clancy’s Chips
Need some chips to go with that dip? I have to say that the Clancy brand is amazing and I personally cannot find much difference except the price. They have a wonderful selection of flavors and types. I adore kettle chips and I can assure you, these rank right up there with the best of them. Now, if you love the taste of Fritos, I will tell you to stay with them. Aldi’s version is good, but if you are really fussy, you are going to know the difference. But for most chips, stock up! I mean really, a full bag costs less than the price of a mini bag at the deli.
Fusia Asian Inspirations Kimchi And Tofu Kimbap
If you have not experienced kimbap and want to get a good idea of what this Korean staple tastes like, this is a great place to start. At $3.49, you just cannot lose. It makes a fabulous lunch. Serve it with a little salad of cabbage, lettuce, shredded carrots and a light peanut dressing and voila! A nice summer dinner too.
Brioche Hot Dog Buns
Want to up your veggie dog game? You need to give these a try. Open them, lightly brush them with butter and toast them. Game changer! Yum! I also use these when I make chickpea salad, but they would be perfect for egg salad or just about any sandwich filling. They make things feel a little special, even if you are just making lunch for yourself. Simple and easy!
Easy Aldi Meal
Need a quick and easy meal tonight? You want super easy, super quick, super yummy and budget friendly? Start with a Park Street Deli Cheddar and Broccoli Quiche for $10.45, then pick up a bag of Little Salad Bar Salad for $2.15 and a bottle of Tuscan Garden Restaurant Style Dressing for $2.15. For under $15, you can feed a family of 4. No leftovers, but sometimes it is kind of nice to not have anything to pack up lol! More of these easy meal basket ideas will be coming each week.
Seasonal Find
Aldi Seasoned Pickle FriesÂ
This week is all about the Aldi Seasoned Pickle Fries! These classic fries are dusted with salty, tangy dill pickle flavor, just like your favorite potato chips. Imagine coming up with a fry that is somehow even more perfect with your meal. I love pickles, as I think you can probably tell from above, so these are on my list. Since they are seasonal and everyone has been anticipating them, I am going to say that if you want these in your freezer for a bit, you should stock up. At Aldi, you never know when things will disappear, so I play it safe lol! They hit the freezer department on July 8th. (varying locations might be different)
Sweet Treat Or Snack Pick
Sundae Shoppe Mini Ice Cream Cones
If you have not had these Sundae Shoppe Mini Ice Cream Cones, they are well worth the treat! You get 12 mini cones for $3.99 in favorite flavors. Some people who work at Aldi say they have become a cult favorite lol! They are great for adults who just want a little yummy treat and fabulous for kids because they are usually done before they melt. By the way, the Sundae Shoppe Crunch and Nut Cones are yummy too!
What’s in my Cart this Week
In my cart you will find a broccoli cheddar quiche, pickle fries to stock up on, a piece of Swiss or Jarlsberg cheese. I love a little piece of Jarlsberg with a chunk of sweet or spicy gherkin dipped in a spicy honey mustard sauce. Of course there are pickles, a few packs of mushrooms (can’t beat that price any where), Some Greek yogurt, cucumbers for a nice tzeki sauce for falafel and red lentil patties. Scallions (the price is fabulous and you get more than any where else). I won’t bore you with the rest… the usual which always includes a 4lb of naval oranges (never had a bad one ever) plus they are $.50 each. This is a very easy cart to fill! I also made myself a note to pick up the breakfast bites!Danger Zone
There is one thing about Aldi. You always walk out with more than you came for, and that is because the prices are fabulous, some items are hard to find and you just want what you see lol. So consider this your friendly little warning. Bring your quarter, bring your bags and maybe bring a little willpower too.Now I Want To Hear From You
I would love to add a category called Reader Picks, so please comment and I will add your recommendations to one of the upcoming posts. Tell me what you love! Tell me what your family loves! Tell me anything you want others to know about Aldi. I am also going to do some budget recipe ideas soon. Just so you know, this is not a sponsored post. I just love the place! Happy Shopping and may a quarter always be with you!!!
