Hey there! How is everyone? Well today I have a treat for all of you and it is a Collection of Breathtaking Original Farmhouse Thrift Store Makeovers. Each one is so impressive you are going to be smiling straight through the entire post. I also think you will be totally inspired and motivated for your next Thrift Store Makeover (I love when that happens : ). So time to sit back for a moment… enjoy that yummy cup of your favorite brew and take in all of this creative goodness.
Well most people would have walked by this rather dated piece…in its day it was a VCR Holder… remember those (seems like a life time since we had to be Kind and Rewind!) Well… Sarah over at Sadie Seasongoods did not walk away… did not judge that this was a thing of the past… instead she put it in her cart… brought it home and turned it into a fabulous Farmhouse Industrial Metal Card Catalog. I mean… come on… how wonderful is that. Drop by and see how she did it in case you run into a blast from the past!!! Who knew???
Carlene found an old… very worn Wall Bin at her local Thrift Store… it was a vertical row of 3 bins attached to a back. She had a vision for this piece that wound up to give her 3 absolutely fabulous pieces of functional wall art. You must drop by Organized Clutter and see this project from start to finish. They are a Farmhouse Delight!
You see them in the Thrift Stores all the time… Bookcases!!! You look at them and debate if it would work and most of the time you walk on by. Well… really look at a piece… when you visit Christy over at Confessions Of A Serial DIYer you are going to see that this Thrift piece had been altered and had a half of an open back. Well that did not deter her… come and see what happens next! In the end she created a fantastic Coastal Farmhouse Creation. You will be able to apply her technique to just about any bookshelf you come across… ENJOY!
I absolutely love these Weathered Farmhouse Pedestals… so classic… a forever kind of accessory. Well you should have seen them before Angela found them in her Thrift Store… they were… well… kind of… not that great lol!!! What she did to them was total genius… you will see what she added to them to put them over the top! Enjoy your visit to Simply Beautiful By Angela.
When you visit Jamie over at Anderson and Grant you will see her find of some old tin loaf pans…nothing special… but then she worked her Farmhouse Creative Magic on them and they now look like they should have been in Julia Child’s Kitchen in France! They are an incredible traditional Farmhouse Style accessory that you can use for so many different things… they would make great planters too if you drill the bottoms… fill them with just about anything… perfect stacked in a vignette and the list goes on. See how she did it and I bet you might look at those loaf pans on the shelf next time in a different light.
Kellie is going to show you what she did with 2 thrifted pieces that cost her under $50! By they way… the dresser was very weathered…worn and scratched. She gave the project all of her loving care…repairs and in the end she had an amazing Chalkboard Dresser Buffet. When you drop by Nest of Posies… you will get all the details which I am sure will help you with tons of projects in your future. Also… this project teaches and old Thrift Store Adage… “Sometimes 2 Thrift Store Finds are Better Than One”. It’s not really a “saying” just thought it fit this creation!
We are back visiting Carlene from Organized Clutter! She is sharing the tale of her TALL Thrifted Candlestick. She couldn’t resist… so she brought it home and envisioned it in a totally different way that it was originally meant for. You will watch as she transforms it into an incredible Farmhouse Style Planter. A real show stopper.
You know when you run into those old light fixtures at the Thrift Shop… they might not even have the guts… just the glass piece that goes over the bulb? Well once your visit The House That Lars Built… you are going to look at them in a totally new light. Come and see how she takes 3 different glass light shades and transforms them into Vibrant Vases! A great way to add a pop of color to your space and they just look great and so unique.
What was once a dated old shelf at the Thrift Store is now a picture perfect Chalkboard/Shelf/ Herb Drying Rack! How cool is that. Amanda from Domestically Creative sure had a vision for her find and it worked flawlessly. Once again it is all about seeing the inner soul of these pieces… I guess that would make Amanda a Thrift Store Find “Whisperer”!
Larissa is such a Master at Thrift Store Makeovers and of course todays project is no different. She found it and it was covered with some messy primer …someone totally abandoned a project. Well it was their loss and Larissa’s gain! She saw what lied beneath and it turned out to be Class French Farmhouse Fabulous!!! You have to drop by Prodigal Pieces and see this labor of love… it is an exceptional procedure and just look what came of it… ooo la la!!! Kudos my friend for an incredible piece once again.
