Remember to LOOK for:
Well my friends, we have passed the halfway mark to Christmas (I know… scary right… time flies) So I thought I would share a few sections on what to look for to create some AMAZING Thrift Store Makeover Holiday Joy!!! I am featuring 5 makeovers from some of our favorite bloggers today to offer inspiration for the projects in the months to come!
What to look for:
Old Chairs that can be disassembled for their legs and spindles to create a plethora of goodness from Christmas Trees to Ornaments and much much more.
Keep collecting pretty plates of different sizes or the same size. Picture a Christmas tree made of China on your wall… then pick up plates that you would love to make it with!
Cheese Domes… snatch them up… they are a perfect cloche and vehicle to create a whimsical vignette and more!
Coffee Mug Trees… these pop up in the Thrift Stores a lot… even though they are great for putting together small Coffee Bars… they seem to wind up in Garage Sales… Thrift Stores and more. Sadie shows us how you can transform one into a fabulous Vintage Farmhouse Style Wooden Christmas tree that you can use every year… or you can change up the ornaments for all Seasons… that is so much FUN!
Ceramic Villages are everywhere… Target… Walmart… Dollar Tree and more and then there are many that you can find in your Thrift Stores. Pick some up and let Christy help you turn that Villages into one that is magical!!!
These are just a few suggestions… if you like this feature… I will add it more often! Just trying to mix things up a bit.
DIY Antique Wood Spindle Ornaments – Little House of Four
Now this is the reason I always tell you to pick up those broken chairs for $.99 at the Thrift Store… simply to saw off the spindles!!! You could also experiment with color stains or chalk paint or distressing a whitewash and… possibilities are endless! ENJOY!
