Hi there my friends! Today’s post is a little melancholy because it is the last Farmhouse Holiday Thrift Store Makeovers post of the year. Have no fear though because next year will be here in no time and we will be back finding goodies that you love and inspire you to create. Today we have a Magical Jeweled piece of Christmas Tree Art… A Retro Wreath that is simply awesome… Recycled Sweater Ornaments and so much more. So pick up that favorite mug of brew and your candy cane stirrer… kick up those feet and chill for a bit… you deserve it. Don’t worry… all that Holiday Prep will be there when you are done : ) ENJOY and CREATE!!! Just a suggestion… if you see some items that you would love to create… start looking in your Thrift Stores after the Holidays… it’s one of the best times of the year to find treasures. Hugs!
You know all the costume jewelry that is at the Thrift Shop? Well sometimes you pass it by because you just don’t really need any… but I won’t be walking by after seeing this gorgeous DIY Vintage Earring Christmas Tree Creation by The Girl In The Garage! Come and see how she took some pieces apart and put together this beauty. Start saving those pieces!!!
Nancy… aka Artsy Chicks Rule has some very sage advice for everyone. If you don’t like a piece that you find or even a piece you have… PAINT IT!!! Just like she did with this tiered tray! Then the fun started as she gave it a complete Christmas Makeover… wonder what she will do for the Spring. Hope this inspires you.
When you come across some sweaters at the Thrift Store and you love the pattern or color but then you notice that there is a stain that can’t come out… don’t fear… Marie aka The Interior Frugalista will take care of that. You can still enjoy the look just by recycling them into Sweater Ornaments and Marie will show you three different ways! You are going to have fun with this quick and easy project.
Sarah always has such creative and amazing ideas! How cute is this Retro Christmas Wreath. Do you know how it started??? With a Thrifted Plastic Christmas Tray… crazy right but how great does it look! She will show you how she finished her Kitchy and Fun Wreath over at Sadie Seasongoods. Just a heads up… right after Christmas is when this kind of item comes in… so keep your eyes peeled… next year will be here in a snap ; )
Christy is going to show you how you can make a Forever Christmas Decoration out of a Thrift Cabinet Door! It’s simple… looks fabulous and will keep your Christmas Count Down perfectly! Come and see how she did it over at Confessions Of A Serial DIYER!
Marie from Interior Frugalista is back with another fabulous creation. She will show you how she put together this beautiful Diorama with her Thrifted Container. It’s a cinch and also a heads up to start collecting those glass containers in all different shapes now! They really are great for all kinds of things.
Sometimes you are lucky enough to happen upon some cool little vintage tins in your Thrift Store but if you don’t… there are many new ones that you can add a patina to in the stores : ) Who knew that they would make the most adorable little Silver Bells? Well My Thrift Store Addiction got that memo and created these precious Holiday Accessories! Drop by and she will show you how.
Diana over at Adirondack Girl @ Heart is going to show you why you should never walk away from Game Pieces and Yards Sticks at the Thrift Store! How adorable are these little ornaments? She will show you in a snap how to put them together so you can make them for your tree and they would make AMAZING present toppers!
Come and see how a Garage Sale Crate got a total Christmas Makeover at Organized Clutter. This little crate went from drab to FAB!!! So come on over and see how the magic happened.
One more thought until next year’s series of Christmas Thrift Store Makeovers… don’t pass by the large frames you see at the Thrift Store… Garage Sale… Flea Market…etc… because it could be your Advent Calendar. Here you will see how Lovely ETC put together a wonderful piece in not time at all. Just think of the different styles you can make… one that fits you and your family perfectly. Now that the idea is in your thoughts… go forth and find the perfect frame.
