Free dark cottagecore kitchen art with herbs, hearths, mushrooms and Practical Magic vibes in 5×7 and 8×10 PDF/JPG prints.
Hi friends… I think we have officially wandered into the dark cottage kitchen of my dreams today!
This brand new Free Printable Dark Cottagecore Kitchen Wall Art Gallery is cozy… moody… old fashioned… a tiny bit mysterious… and filled with just enough witchy personality to give me all those wonderful Practical Magic feelings.
You know the kind of kitchen I mean. There are herbs hanging from the ceiling. A candle is burning beside the window. Bread is being made on an old wooden table. A black pot is bubbling over the hearth. There are mushrooms, garlic, old apothecary bottles, stone mortars, enamel kettles and bundles of greenery everywhere you look.
It feels like the sort of kitchen where somebody knows exactly which herb to add to the soup… which tea to make when you cannot sleep… and perhaps one or two secrets she is not quite ready to share!

That is the mood I wanted for this collection.
Not Halloween. Not spooky. More old cottage kitchen meets herbalist meets a little everyday magic.
There are six coordinating prints, and each one is available in both 5×7 and 8×10 sizes in your choice of JPG or PDF format.
Hang all six together for a wonderfully moody gallery wall… pair a few in the kitchen or breakfast nook… or tuck one beside a collection of old crocks, cutting boards and amber bottles.
And because these are not specifically Halloween prints, I think they can stay up long after October disappears.
So light a candle… put the kettle on… and let’s step inside our little dark cottage kitchen!
Free Printable Dark Cottagecore Kitchen Wall Art Gallery
The Free Printable Dark Cottagecore Kitchen Wall Art Gallery includes six vintage inspired kitchen scenes filled with moody color, old fashioned details and a subtle Kitchen Witch spirit.
Deep forest green, smoky charcoal, warm brown, faded cream, muted sage and glowing amber create a rich cottagecore palette, while candlelight, herbs, mushrooms, bread making, apothecary bottles and an old hearth give the collection its wonderfully lived in atmosphere.
There is definitely a little Practical Magic energy running through the gallery… but in a quiet and timeless way.
Think herb filled kitchens, old remedies, simmering pots, freshly baked bread and candlelit evenings rather than obvious Halloween imagery.
The six designs work beautifully together while still giving each scene its own personality.
Candlelit Cottage Sink Print
This one immediately sets the mood for the entire collection. A deep green cottage kitchen surrounds a large white farmhouse sink beneath an old multi pane window. Ivy winds around the frame while a single candle glows on the sill and evening settles outside. A simple cream pitcher and trailing greenery make the scene feel quiet, old fashioned and just a little magical.
Candlelit Bread Making Print
A rustic wooden table is covered with everything needed for an evening of baking… fresh bread, flour, a well used rolling pin, pottery and a bowl of eggs. A glowing candle in an old brass holder casts warm light over the scene. This one has that wonderful feeling of a kitchen still working long after the sun has gone down.
Old Cottage Hearth Print
Now THIS is where those witchy vibes really arrive! A large black cooking pot hangs over a glowing open hearth while smoke curls toward the chimney. Bundles of herbs hang beside the fireplace, logs wait nearby and an old broom rests against the wall. It feels like something straight from an old cottage kitchen where supper and perhaps a few herbal remedies are always simmering.
Mushroom and Herb Kitchen Print
A beautiful bowl filled with mushrooms takes center stage in this botanical kitchen still life. Fresh parsley and herbs rise behind it while garlic bulbs, leafy greenery and smaller mushrooms are scattered across the wooden table. The blue and white pottery adds just enough classic cottage charm to balance the woodland mood.
Herbal Apothecary Kitchen Print
A heavy stone mortar and pestle sits beside bundles of sage and rosemary, amber apothecary bottles and old pottery jars. Bay leaves are scattered across the counter and the deep shadowy background gives the scene such wonderful depth. This may be the most obvious Kitchen Witch print in the collection… and I absolutely love it.
Old Enamel Kettle and Herbs Print
A large cream enamel kettle sits on an old wooden kitchen table beside a delicate floral teacup, little candle and fresh tomatoes. Bundles of herbs hang overhead while greenery and tiny flowers spill across the scene. It feels wonderfully homey and practical… as though the tea is always hot and there is always something drying from the garden.Free Printable Dark Cottagecore Kitchen Wall Art Gallery PDFs

Why This Gallery Works All Year
Even though this collection has definite witchy vibes, there is nothing particularly Halloween about it.
The magic comes from the atmosphere.
Herbs. Mushrooms. Candlelight. Old bottles. A fireplace. Bread baking. A kettle waiting for tea.
Those elements work beautifully with dark cottagecore, English cottage, farmhouse, vintage kitchen, botanical and apothecary decor throughout the year.
In Fall it becomes especially cozy.
At Halloween it feels delightfully witchy.
And the rest of the year it simply looks like a gorgeous old cottage kitchen.
Decorating Ideas
- Create a six piece gallery wall in a moody kitchen or breakfast nook.
- Hang the Old Cottage Hearth print near an antique crock or copper cookware collection.
- Pair the Herbal Apothecary Kitchen with amber bottles and vintage herb jars.
- Display the Mushroom and Herb Kitchen beside botanical prints or old cookbooks.
- Hang the Candlelit Cottage Sink near a kitchen window or farmhouse sink.
- Pair the Bread Making print with old cutting boards, rolling pins and bread baskets.
- Place the Enamel Kettle and Herbs print near a tea or coffee station.
- Use dark wood, antique brass or distressed black frames to lean into the moody cottagecore feeling.
- Mix a few natural wood frames in if you want to keep the gallery from feeling too dark.
- Add crocks, baskets, old books, dried herbs and candlesticks around the artwork.
Printing Tips
- These prints are designed to be easy to use at home, so you can have your little dark cottage gallery up in no time!
- Each design is available in both 5×7 and 8×10 sizes and comes in JPG and PDF formats.
- For the prettiest results, I recommend printing on heavyweight matte white paper or smooth card stock. A paper around 65 to 80 lb works beautifully and gives the artwork a little more substance than regular copy paper.
- When printing, be sure to choose Actual Size or 100% Scale in your printer settings so the artwork keeps its proper dimensions.
- Choose the 5×7 file for a smaller frame or little shelf display and the 8×10 file when you want the artwork to have a bit more presence on the wall.
- The PDF files are perfect when you simply want to open, print and go.
- The JPG files are handy if you would like to send the artwork to a local print shop or photo printing service.
- Because these designs have lots of beautiful deep greens, warm browns and soft candlelit details, I would also choose your printer’s Best or High Quality setting whenever possible.
- And one last little tip…
- If your home printer does not love darker artwork, do not fight with it! Save your favorite files to a flash drive or send them to a local office supply or print shop. A good quality print can make those moody cottage colors look especially rich and beautiful.
- Then all that is left is choosing the frames… which may actually be the hardest part!
