RECIPE
- 2 cups of Sliced Strawberries or a
16 ounce bag of Frozen Strawberries - 1½ cups Plain Greek Low Fat Yogurt
- 1 sliced banana (if you have two...use them both)
- ¼ cup of Skim Milk
- 3 tablespoons of Honey
- Place all the ingredients in your blender
- Turn on the blender to a medium speed
- Blend for approximately 2 minutes
- Pour into the molds of your choice or use ice cube trays
- Freeze for 4 hours or more
- Pop out of the molds
- Ready to ENJOY!
- To store: Use Zip Lock Bags for a tight seal or use some sort of Tupperware, Rubber Maid or any tight sealing container. Sealed and Stored properly these will keep in the freezer for 2 months but they will never last that long because your pups will have them gone in no time.
- Please note: You can use other fruits instead of Strawberries like Watermelon, Blueberries, Mango, Pumpkin (NEVER EVER GRAPES) and any other Dog Safe Fruit or Veggie. Banana's add a creaminess that no other fruit can offer. You can even add some Peanut Butter. Tailor them to your
dogs tastes but I guarantee they will love this blend for sure. They are the Pawfect Treat!

Sure hope that your doggy or doggies enjoy these creamy delicious treats and YES you can have one too. I actually pour myself a few popsicles when I make a double batch. Strawberries and Blueberries are Power Foods for dogs so there are health benefits too! Plain Yogurt provides your Pup with Probiotics for digestion and Calcium for their bones. These are so easy to make you won’t believe it! As easy as whipping together a smoothie. You can make them all different sizes depending on the mold you use. I really do love the silicone molds. I have never used them before but I am really glad I did. You can use any mold and if you don’t have any ice cube trays work like a charm (when you are popping them out though…run a little bit of hot water on the back side of the tray to make removing easier). So get out that blender and whip up a batch of these Pawfect Puppy Treats!
Sending TONS of hugs and love to you and your pups and a very HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY!

Ooh, these look good! Great idea 🙂
This is really for dogs?
Hi there Lyna! Absolutely made for your pups and you can partake in one too : ) Made with ALL approved food items for dogs (verified through the ASPCA) Strawberries and bananas are picture perfect fruits for your pup mixed with yogurt which is actually used by many Vets to calm doggies stomachs down when upset. So this makes a wonderful treat…one that most doggies FLIP over! The same recipe can be used with Watermelon and Blueberries : ) BONE APPETIT! Wishing you and your pup the best day every! Hugs!
I was reading about thesetests and you mentioned mangos as being ok for dogs…that fruit is a fruit with a single pit and from what i have read elsewhere is not safe for dogs….please confirm…or edit post thanks
Hi there Joseph! How are you : ) Hope al is well in your world. The flesh of the Mango is perfectly safe for the dog to eat. The skin which is very hard is not editable and of course the pit is never eaten. But the flesh which is what is eater is totally safe for dogs to consume. Thank you so much for your concern. I double check all ingredients that are mentioned… I even double check any plant that I might feature to let everyone know if it is pet safe or not. We want to keep all of them nice and healthy!!!! Thank you and Take care! Here are some links to reinforce that 🙂

Have you ever wondered, “Can dogs eat mango?” The answer is yes, they can. This fruit is full of vitamins and safe for your pup to consume, as long as it’s peeled and the pit is removed. It’s important to note that you should only give your canine companion mango in moderation.

LOL, my nephew really liked them, and my digs too ????
I LOVE IT…they are pretty tasty and I have had more than a few : ) I also make them for our Animal Shelter every week during the Summer…so we are ALWAYS stocked : ) So glad the humans and dogs enjoyed! Take care…tons of hugs…andrea
Anyone know if these ingredients are safe for cats? I have made popsicles for my baby by freezing wet cat food in ice cube trays, but this a great idea too!
Also, where do you get the bone shape silicone mold?
Hi there Chelsea! How are you. Yes…the ingredients are safe for cats as long as you use moderation…cats have a very small digestive system so too much of anything is not a good thing…but of course they could have one of these with no problem. I would however suggest just to be on the “tummy” safe side…cut the honey amount in half : ) As far as the molds…here is a great set! https://bit.ly/2yU8e7E You take care now and have an awesome weekend! Hugs…
Can you use frozen strawberries? These look amazing!!!
Hi there Leah! How are you! Absolutely you can use frozen strawberries! It works just perfectly! I would defrost them a bit first so when you blend it is easier to pour in the molds. You can use any SAFE Dog Fruit or combinations of also. Blueberries are fabulous for doggies and they love them…that is a great combination with banana. Pineapple…Mango and Banana is another great combination! Sure hope your pup LOVES them and of course you can share in this treat also (I do : ) You take care now and have an amazing weekend! Hugs…
Yes!
My dog loooove it! Simple, easy and healthy perfect for my dog with food allergies, no processed treats anymore!!!
Can I use almond milk?
Hi there Brianna! Yes you can… almonds are non-toxic to dogs. I am using oat milk for mine 🙂 Sure hope the pups LOVE them!!!! Sending hugs and wishes for all of you and yours to be well… hugs to the pups!
How long do these treats last in the pantry, or fridge?
Hi there Maya…they can stay in the Freezer up to 6 months : ) If you are using the mixture as a smoothie…it can stay in the fridge for about 5 days. I highly recommend freezing them and if you want to serve as a smoothie…just defrost a few hours before. They stay a lot fresher that way : ) ENJOY! Take care and have an amazing week! Hugs…
Thanks for sharing! Do they keep long?
So happy you liked this recipe Vanessa! As long as they are in a ziplock bag or freezer container…they can stay for months and months but they never last that long : ) Sending hugs and wishes for a wonderful day!
