Magical DIY Furniture Makeovers
Petticoat Junktion…There are so many makeovers over at Petticoat Junktion…but today I am featuring Kathy's Rustic Plank Table Top Table…not only did she take a piece of furniture that had been very worn out by time…but she also replaced the table top with a rustic plank top to give it even more personality and charm. See how she does it! You can apply this technique to so many different tables you might encounter at your local Thrift Shop.
As always we like to send applause and appaws to all of the wonderful and fabulously talented bloggers out there that share their creations and diy’s with us! A big thank you from the bottom of all of our hearts! Hope you have tons of fun exploring their blogs…you are guaranteed to be inspired. ENJOY and CREATE!
Want to stay in the know? I’d really love that! (((HUGS))) |

I LOVE furniture makeovers! It is a hobby that I thoroughly enjoy. I’ve been doing this for over thirty years.
I would like to make a suggestion regarding reupholstering the seats of chairs (Dining, kitchen, etc.): When you are working on an older chair, perhaps one you have acquired at a yard sale or thrift shop, I recommend replacing the seat padding in addition to new fabric. Many chairs have had years of use, and the padding eventually flattens and breaks down. It may also hold stains than can actually affect the new fabric, particularly if the stains contained grease. It is well worth the effort to take this extra step. 🙂
