Time for another Quick and Easy DIY… Hope you enjoy our Modern Farmhouse Dollar Store DIY Vase Hack. It could not be easier and has a high end look you will love.
I know I say it all the time… but here I go again… this Farmhouse Dollar Store DIY Vase Hack is the easiest thing ever! All you need is about 5 minutes and drying time… seriously! A Cement look is very hot in the wonderful world of Industrial Modern Farmhouse Home Decor. We are just going to skip the mixing and cleaning and all those steps in between… we are going right to the great look… come and see how it’s done!
Don’t you love when the supply list only includes 3 actual items and of course some newspaper or tarp to protect the area where you are spraying! All you need is a can of basic white spray paint or primer… a can of Stone look paint (I used Rust-Oleum just because it is a great product… this is NOT a sponsored post… I am just telling your from my experience you really can’t get a better product and it comes in a fabulous variety of colors!) then of course you need a Tall Cylinder Glass Dollar Store Vase. I have said in many of my posts… that the cylinder glass vases are the BEST BUY ever in the Dollar Store. They run from $6-$10 in various Craft Stores and they are of the same quality if not the same vase! It’s such a great piece… you can use it as is or decorate in a million ways (we will do more soon : ). So that is all you need!
First Step… place the clean (sticker off) Vase on a tarp or paper on a work space (best to be outside) and give the vase a light coat and allow to dry for about 30 minutes…
Then it is time to apply the Stone Paint. For me… it took 2 coats. I gave it a nice thorough coat … spraying about 15 inches from the vase… (I literally walked around the vase to spray and that worked GREAT) I allowed it to dry for 30 minutes and I applied my second coat and obtained full coverage. I then let it dry over night before using it. How great does it look! Just think what you can make… I thought that this would be great on the Glass Candle Glass Holders… the Candle holders and so much more! It’s great on wood and so many other surfaces. The finished products does not look hand done… it has a great high end look you will love!

What a cute finish, I was surprised how much I like it. Also, thanks for reminding me about the dollar store for vases, I bought an unusual basket that would make a great vase, but of course, it won’t hold water and I was wondering if I had something to put inside it, dollar store to the rescue.
