No Bake Tagalong Parfaits in a Mason Jar

Well March means a lot of things to me…I was born in March…my dear friends birthday is in March…it’s the beginning of Spring and so many other good things…but the best part of March is that my Girl Scout Cookie Order that I placed in February was delivered!!!  Yep…Tagalongs…Thin Mints…Samoas and all those other yummy flavors are in the Pantry!  Everyone has had a few of their favorites all ready but what happens when they are gone?  Well I was thinking about that and I do believe you and my family should be entitled to a taste before next March…right?  So I whipped up some No Bake Tagalong Parfaits in a Mason Jar and let me tell you…they are delish and will get your over the finish line to next March!  They are quick…easy and delicious.  After you check out the recipe…drop by my friends Mason Jar Creations …guaranteed to be a fun time!  ENJOY!

Tip #1:  When cutting your Pound Cake…slice it vertically so you have a larger slice and can cut at least 2 rounds from each slice.

Tip #2:  Use a small juice glass to cut your pound cake rounds if you do not have a cookie cutter.

Tip #3:  Use a baby spoon or a sweet tea spoon to do your layering…it is easier or of course you can pipe in the filling.

Tip#4:  Use the Pound Cake Scraps to make a Trifle or what I LOVE to do is crumble it all…put it in a zip lock bag and place in the freezer.  Then take it out when I am making a crumb cake and just add the cake crumbs to my normal recipe of butter…sugar…flour…etc.  If it is possible and it is…the cake crumbs make the crumbs even better!!!

Tip #5:  In hind site…I should have put a little bit of Chocolate Syrup at the bottom 🙂

No Bake Tagalong Parfaits in a Mason Jar

Ingredients:
8 ounce Bar of Cream Cheese (softened…take out of fridge an hour before using)
4 tablespoons of Butter (softened…take out of fridge an hour before using)
1 1/4 cup of Creamy Peanut Butter

1 1/4 cup of Confectioners Sugar
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
Chocolate Fudge (use your favorite recipe or just open a jar!)
6 ounces of Milk Chocolate (optional)

1/4 cup of Heavy Cream (you may need a little bit more so have a tablespoon or so on hand)
1 full size Pound Cake…you can use Homemade…Sara Lee…Entenmann’s or any other Store Bought Cake
Six 8 ounce Mason Jars or Dessert Dishes.  Have them cut into a dozen rounds (you can use a small juice glass or you don’t have a cutter…or free form cut them)

Directions:
Cream your Cream Cheese and Butter together for about a minute.  Then add your Vanilla…slowly add the Confectioners Sugar and then whip with the whisk attachment for about 3-4 more minutes.  Put a little bit of Fudge Sauce at the bottom then place your first Pound Cake Round…Spoon or Pipe the Peanut Butter Filling layer…then add a layer of Chocolate Fudge Sauce…repeat.  I top the top off with 1 ounce of melted Milk Chocolate so when you tap into it it gives you that Tagalong Crunch…this step is totally optional!  Then add Whipped Cream and if you are lucky enough to have an actual Tagalong…it’s perfect instead of a cherry : )

Why not try our yummy Brownie Parfaits too!
