A simple vintage setting creates such an inviting feel. By simply stacking the right plates just so you have a mini work of art. It is really just like selecting the right colors and shades for a painting. Only an array of plates are you palette.
Does it fascinate you that ordinary items can instantly be transformed to extraordinary but adding pink lemonade and some pretty blue jars? Look at this tablescape…it is so pretty and most of us have what we need to create it right in the cabinet. Mason jars…white plates and napkins…whip up some lemonade and then of course the chippy metal pitcher with cherry blossoms is the perfect centerpiece. This is a cottage delight…don’t you think!

Over at lamb & blonde a lot of beauty is happening. By adding gorgeous flowers…silver pillar candle sticks and simple china to a rustic table…it’s instant magic!
A beautiful outdoor setting. What makes this so very special are the little vintage teacups filled with fresh flowers…what a wonderful touch of whimsy. You can dress up white china in an instant. elizabeth anne designs are just beautiful!
Style me Pretty has certainly done just that to this tablescape. Pink never looked so beautiful.
Fun and Fanciful! Ruffled breaks out the vibrant pinks and makes a real statement. One thing to learn from this setting is that not everything has to match. If you have a collection of vases and you put them all together with a common denominator such as the same palette flowers …they become seamless on the table. Check out the table runner here…rolls of wrapping paper weren’t just meant to pretty up a package!
StLouis Gallery presents this stunning idea for a place setting. How amazing does this look. Are your ideas going wild right now?
All Things Shabby and Beautiful once again shows us that all things do not have to match…by taking a basic white charger and adding a different vintage plate…cup and saucer to each brings everything together. So that gives us all a BIGGER excuse when we are a flea market or good will to by all of those mismatched pieces of china (like we needed an excuse!)

Slim Paley reminds us that there is still time to have a great little picnic as the Summer months are coming to an end…how sweet is this simple yet fabulous little setting. Simple sometimes is best!

Andrea,
Here’s an idea for recreating the first tablecloth {of unknown source} … vintage chenille bedspread. My grandmother had a more colorful version of said bedspread but the “poms” on it were that large and plentiful, I called it the “snowball blanket”. Anyway, they’re out there and a large bedspread would be big enough for many tables simply to toss it on and tuck the ends / edges under so you wouldn’t have to alter the form, and it could remain a blanket too. Now finding one is the challenge. Robin
All so very lovely!! I love the first picture with the pom pom table clothe <3 I had to pin it too!! 🙂 Hope you have a most wonderful day Miss Andrea! 🙂 Big hugs xo Holly
