Time to check-out What’s Trending In Home Decor right now!  There are so many fun and fabulous trends that will help you add tons of personality to your space.  Today we are exploring 3 different trends that I have a feeling are going to be around for a bit!  If you enjoy this… we will explore many more… just let me know ok!

As many of you know I am not all about trends but I love finding them and sharing them with you!  It’s all about what YOU and YOUR family adore in my book!  So with that in mind I truly hope some of these trendy ideas inspire you to create something new just for your home and family.  It’s funny … by just looking at a picture you brain sometimes says… “why didn’t I think of that”!  So let’s take a peek and I would LOVE to hear what you think!

 

Pastels

Pastels are trending every where and it is one trend that I can get with any day of the year!  

Pastel Dining Room

Over at San Francisco Girl you will find pastels being used in such an imaginative way and may I add very budget friendly. The setting is gorgeous but let’s take it apart for a moment shall we???  You have a simple table that you can purchase new or second hand from a various number of sources for a reasonable price. You could pick one up at your local Thrift Store or Goodwill also and while you are there… check out the linens… you might find an amazing tablecloth… then check out the glassware… bet you will find all kind of little bottles and vases and gather an eclectic collection.  Then head on over to the furniture section and hopefully score some cool chairs.  Now you are on your way to recreating this fabulous scene.  Paint each chair a pretty pastel color… set the table… add fresh blooms to those vases in the colors of your choice and viola!!!  Who knows… you might even find a cool piece of artwork like the one shown here on the cheap!  I love it!  How about you?  Is this something you might try?  

 

Pink Kitchen

Here’s an idea for you… how about picking a pastel color (in this case light pink) and make it the main color of your Kitchen.  Then add all kinds of POPS of color throughout.  To be honest with you… I would not have thought of choosing pink as my cabinet color but I just might change my mind now after I saw this entire Kitchen Reveal over at Studio DIY… WOW it is so fresh… fun and fabulous.  Come on over and Kelly will show you the entire place so you can fall deeper in love.  She even shares the sources to everything in the Kitchen which is always handy  : )  Pastels are looking pretty awesome!

 

Give Your Coffee Table A Makeover

Over here at Oh Joy (who is always on top of everything that is hot and fun) you will see how you can add a touch of pastel to an ordinary coffee table that you could pick up at a Thrift Store.  With this DIY Paint treatment… you can add a touch of pastel plaid to your space and may I say it looks marvelous.  Also… just look at the room and the use of all the different pastels… from the artwork to the walls to the throw pillow… a perfect blend that creates a very happy environment!

 

Pastel Blue Kitchen

A single pastel color can totally take a white kitchen to a different level.  A beautiful baby blue was added to the counter top… a beautiful pastel blue and green to the tile splash back… a touch of blue to the island and a lovely blue patterned shade just elevates this Kitchen to Joanna Gaines status!  Just close your eyes and picture your favorite pastel color in the place of the blue.  Who knows… it could be your next project : )  Anytime someone tells you that Farmhouse Homes don’t like color… just say “I think not!”. Simply adore this Kitchen over at BHG.

 

Pastel Accessories 

I saw this pin which unfortunately didn’t link to this picture… but I still wanted to share it with you.  I love how the pastels were all added with accessories… like a throw… an ottoman… throw pillows and of course the amazing rug!  Next time you add something to your space… maybe a pastel accessory or two might be in order : )

Decorating With Plants

Decorating with Plants is still oh so trending and I just think it is going to be a huge favorite decorating category forever!  Everything looks so much fresher if greenery is added. You can go Jungle or just add One plants!  Here are just a few ideas for you.

Bringing the Outside In!

Over at Susan Earlam’s blog she is showing you a quick and easy way to add greenery in a Farmhouse Style!  Arrange them on a ladder… in all shapes and sizes and viola… perfection.  Then of course adding nice large floor plant is magic!

 

Centerpiece Vignette

It can be as simple as adding a plant to a Centerpiece Vignette Like Ashley from Little Glass Jar did!  Or how is this idea for a Centerpiece Vignette… take a wooden lazy susan and place a number of different plants of different sizes on it and VOILA!  

 

Mixing Plants with Items You Love

Doesn’t this look amazing!  Items that the homeowner loves are mixed with beautiful plants and they all create such a fabulous cohesive welcoming space.  A great idea for everyone no matter why your style.  Check this out over at My Domaine.

 

A Collection of Floor Plants

There are many different floor plants and an endless array of pots for them.  Why not collect 5 or six of them in different heights and unique pots and add real drama to a space.  Just think of the possibilities that await you!

 

Succulent Indoor Gardens

For those of you that were not blessed with a green thumb… a Succulent Garden would be amazing wherever you want to place it.  Picture perfect!  You will find many other ideas on this page.

 

Hanging Plant from IKEA

A simple full and luscious hanging plant could just be what your Bathroom needs!  Simply hang one above the bathtub and it will add so much to the space.  Then if you have a few little shelves… they are surely begging for some greenery too!  Love this crisp and fresh look!

 

Wallpaper

BOLD Wallpaper is a huge trend this year and I have to say I am kind of loving it!!!  It adds so much personality to special areas of a room… what do you think???

Bold Floral Wallpaper Statement Wall

How gorgeous is this statement wall.  I am totally in love! The ladder with hanging flowers is brilliant!  This would so add a huge POP of color and tons of cheer to a room!  This is an Anthropologie creation!  

 

Bird Wallpaper

Look how beautiful this ornate wallpaper looks mixed with the same shade of paint on the walls.  Simply divine and oh so different.  

 

Wallpaper Drama

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this!  It totally owns its space.  If you are looking for major drama in your space… something like this will certainly do it!  Those little hummingbirds just put it over the top!  

 

Bathroom Wallpaper Idea

Looking for something striking and bold… how about this kind of pattern in black and white!  You know who the style boss is when you walk into this space.  I love how the wood just POPS off the backgrounds.  A clean and very modern Farmhouse Look!  Love it!

Now if geometrics are your thing you sure can make a statement with this wallpaper!  Even though it’s not my style… I am really loving the entire eclectic look!
