What’s happening in the Art World this week?
by Christopher Bonanos
Looking forward to this new book which will explore the history and this amazing piece of pop culture and examines it’s many uses…believe me they were not used just for a quick pic! Did you know that Andy Warhol
embraced the creative side of the polaroid…
Probably the most fabulous photographer in the world was a consultant for Polaroid and relished the many possibilities that it held…a few of his favorite pieces were actually shot with the amazing Type 55 Polaroid and yes…I am talking about the one and only Ansel Adams.
If you are interested…you can find out more about this cool new book over at NY Magazine
The Article is called
Six Artists in Sixty Seconds and it is a very short but interesting read! ENJOY!
Speaking of Art…my son called my attention to this cool art work by
He is on all of the social medias and I am now following him…on Tumblr
You know when you just love a little smile…that is what he gives you…check out his little turtle sketches…now tell me they don’t put a smirk on your face!
How adorable are these…a new one pops up every few days…if you are looking for a smile…follow him…it’s fun!
Ok…have you seen the new soda machines in some restaurants and delis?
I am not a big soda drinker except for seltzer so I won’t be using these…but some people including my son Peter think this machine is awesome…you can create over 100 different beverages from the fountain machine and I have to say that is pretty amazing…thought you would find it interesting!
Have you seen all of the gorgeous pumpkins out there? There are tons of them and all of our friends in the blogosphere are busy creating more and more beautiful ones…but have you seen some that are not so “beautiful”
There are pumpkins that I would like to smash...lol! (sorry Karah)
There are pumpkins that freak me out!
Watch out Mr. Potato Head…there is a new fruit in town…
There are pumpkins that need a nose job…
Some that bring FRIGHT to your NIGHT
Some that rack your brains
Thank goodness this didn’t get in Charolotte’s Web!
Then of course there are the ones that just make you smile!
We will call him JACK!
There are so many crazy and wild pumpkins out there that the kids will go nuts for! Take a peek and you will be amazed…hope these made you laugh a bit. In the end though…my favorite pumpkin…
Here’s wishing you and yours the best day ever and hope you enjoyed this little odd trip down the rabbit hole!

I vote for Jack. Iconic. Classic. Graphic. Simple. If you can get a smile and a flood of great memories drawing / craving 3 triangles and a banana shape then I say just. don’t. mess. 🙂 Hope you’re having a great weekend! Robin
