Free printable vintage dog wall art with six charming breeds in 5×7 and 8×10 sizes, ready to print from JPG and PDF files.
Hi friends… I think we can all agree that a home gets just a little bit happier when there is a dog somewhere in it… and today we are bringing that same sweet feeling to the walls!
I put together this Free Printable Vintage Dog Wall Art Gallery with six wonderfully charming pups, each one painted in a slightly nostalgic style that reminds me of illustrations you might have found tucked inside an old book or hanging in a cozy family home years ago.
There is a scruffy little terrier, an irresistible Pug, a handsome Dachshund, a wonderfully serious Bulldog, an elegant Greyhound and a beautiful Black Lab. Each one has its own personality… because of course they do!
The soft painted backgrounds and imperfect brushwork give the collection that vintage feel I love without making it look too formal. These would be so sweet in a mudroom, family room, hallway, office, cottage kitchen or anywhere you want to add a little four legged personality.
And the best part… they are all FREE for you to print and enjoy!

Free Printable Vintage Dog Wall Art Gallery
There are six different dog portraits in this collection and each printable is available in both 5×7 and 8×10 sizes.
You can choose either JPG or PDF files, so you can print the version that works best for you.
I especially love these grouped together as a gallery wall, but each print is strong enough to hang all by itself too.
The Scruffy White Terrier
Oh my goodness… those eyes! Our first little pup is a sweet scruffy white terrier painted against a dusty lavender background. The loose brushstrokes and slightly tousled fur give this one so much personality. I can picture it in a little vintage frame sitting on a bookshelf or tucked into a cozy gallery wall.
The Pug
Next up is one seriously adorable Pug sitting proudly on a soft blue cushion. The muted sage background and creamy coat give the portrait a wonderful vintage quality… but that unmistakable little Pug expression absolutely steals the show. This one makes me smile every single time I look at it.
The Dachshund
You know I could not possibly create a dog gallery without a Dachshund! This handsome red Dachshund stands against the prettiest soft pink background. I love the contrast between the rich rusty coat and that gentle blush color. It feels playful, classic and just a little bit retro.
The English Bulldog
Then we have this wonderful English Bulldog sitting quite comfortably on his blue cushion. He has that slightly serious Bulldog expression that somehow makes them even more lovable. The blue background gives the print a fresh cottage feel while the painterly style keeps it beautifully vintage.
The Black Labrador Retriever
Last but certainly not least… our handsome Black Lab. This sweet fellow is sitting patiently with a little ball by his paws, and I think every dog person knows exactly what that means. The creamy background allows that beautiful dark coat to stand out while still keeping the print soft and warm.
A Few Easy Printing Tips
You know me… I like printing to be as uncomplicated as possible.
For the prettiest results, I would use a nice white or warm white matte cardstock or heavyweight presentation paper. The slightly textured painted style looks especially lovely on matte paper because you do not get that shiny photograph look.
Be sure your printer is set to the correct paper size and choose the highest quality print setting you are comfortable using.
And remember… you do not need expensive frames! Thrift stores are one of my favorite places to look for little 5×7 and 8×10 frames. A mix of old wood, brass, black and painted frames could make these dogs look as though you have collected their portraits over the years.
How to Display Your Vintage Dog Prints
One of my favorite ideas would be to print all six and create a little dog gallery wall. Hang them two across and three down for a tall narrow space… or three across and two down above a console, dresser or bench.
You could also choose the breed that reminds you most of your own dog and display just that one.
They would be adorable in a mudroom near the leashes and baskets… in a cozy reading nook… tucked onto a bookshelf… or hanging in a kitchen where your own little four legged sous chef is usually waiting for something to fall on the floor.
And if you know a serious dog lover, one of these framed would make such a sweet little gift.
I hope these sweet pups bring a smile to your face, friends.
There is just something about dog art that makes a room feel instantly warmer and more personal… especially when the paintings have that slightly old fashioned charm.
Print your favorite… or create a whole gallery of furry faces!
Enjoy them and remember to give your own little four legged family members an extra hug today.
